    I think that message is because you have the have the option to use the cache disk set to "no" under Settings -> Global Share Settings.  Perhaps the error message could be improved by including a link to that settings page to make it more obvious?

    That's exactly it. The shares allowed setting the cache drive as well so it wasn't obvious.

    I wonder if there should be a similar warning displayed on the shares page if you set Use Cache to anything other than “No”and the cache option is not enabled under Settings->Global Share Settings?

    Honestly, I didn't even know there was a global setting for disabling the cache drive functionality outright. Seems counter productive. To me, having a drive configured as a cache drive implies it should be on.

    Not necessarily if you are simply going to use it for a purpose that does not involve User Shares

    Open = Under consideration.

     

    Solved = The issue has been resolved.

     

    Solved version = The issue has been resolved in the indicated release version.

     

    Closed = Feedback or opinion better posted on our forum for discussion. Also for reports we cannot reproduce or need more information. In this case just add a comment and we will review it again.

     

    Retest = Please retest in latest release.


    Priority Definitions

     

    Minor = Something not working correctly.

     

    Urgent = Server crash, data loss, or other showstopper.

     

    Annoyance = Doesn't affect functionality but should be fixed.

     

    Other = Announcement or other non-issue.
