6.8.0-rc9 High SHFS usage while server idle

This server's only job is hosing 2 vm's. After updating to RC9 I noticed higher cpu usage on cores that are normally very low and not used by VMs. Glances showed:

I did have another computer conceded via smb to move a file over (compiling the RMRR patch) but even after disconnecting smb and shutting down the 2 VM's, high usage persisted. I don't recall seeing this on RC7
