[7.0.0rc2] DisplayPort being used during boot

  • Urgent

I have an ASUS motherboard with the HDMI port on the board set as primary display in BIOS. This is what I use for Unraid. I also have a GPU for a gaming VM. Recently I have noticed (possibly after update to 7.0.0) that when my machine is booting up, I see the Unraid boot screen on the monitor connected to the DisplayPort but once Unraid starts booting, the screen freezes on the Unraid boot menu even though if I switch to HDMI I can see if continues to boot up and work normally. The monitor on DP will stay on with the Unraid boot menu showing until I start my gaming VM then that takes over and all is well. The disrete GPU is even passed to VM using System Devices page in Settings.

No changes have been made to my motherboard, only thing that changed recently was Unraid 7.0.0 update. This is reproducible on every reboot.

Is there some way to prevent the discrete DP port from showing the Unraid boot menu and then freezing on it? Not great for the monitor if I need to reboot and forget to start/stop a VM so the display can properly go to sleep.

I marked as urgent due to potential screen burn in on the monitor if this goes unnoticed.
