Anyone succesful with Nvidia passthrough 6.10.0-rc2 ?

  • Minor

I have a fresh system and fresh unraid installation.

MSI B560M-A PRO with i3-10105, RTX 3070.

[10de:2484] 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GA104 [GeForce RTX 3070] (rev a1)

[10de:228b] 01:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation GA104 High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1)

VFIO Binding looks succesful in the log: Successfully bound the device

VT-D in bios enabled.

I tried Windows 10 about 8 installations with Q35 5.0 up to 6.1 and i440fx from 5.0 up to 6.1, using VNC primary and Nvidia secondary.

The onboard NIC is only recognized with Q35 6.0, nothing else. Later then upgrading 6.1 keeps the NIC alive. Fresh 6.1 installation has no network card and the RTX GPU is not recognized as well. With 6.0 i can install the Nvidia driver.

When i then remove VNC as primary GPU the screen stays black, does not boot without any error message.

Was anyone succesful yet ? My goal is to achieve a windows machine with MadVR behind Kodi as Media Player.

*update*

i installed a new machine with Q35 6.0 and windows 11 instead of 10. Succesful with installing network drivers virtio and nvidia card, but after removing the vnc and using nvidia as primary just blank screen.
