I am not able to download Diagnostics. It freezes at ethtool 'eth1' 2> /dev/null|todos >>'/media-diagnostics-20240705-1216/system/ethtool.txt' and fan speed spins up high. I'm only assuming eth1 is the issue because of where diagnostics stopped. eth1 is not connected or used. As a note, eth1 can be used for vPro but I'm not using that feature and have it disabled in bios, but I don't have ability to disable the port completely without disabling eth0 too.
I have to hard shutdown machine as nothing is accessible. With screen and keyboard attached all I can do is type in username, but it doesn't take password. Cursor just blinks. Not even Ctrl-Alt_Del works.
I was asked to attach /boot/config/network*.cfg file(s), which I have.
I do not seem to have any other issues. But it would be nice to understand what could cause this to lock up like it does.
