Please report only issues/bugs which are new in the prerelease.

We've been holding back on this release a few days waiting for updated Intel ixgbe (10Gbit) OOT driver which builds correctly with 4.18 kernel.  But no update yet so this release uses 4.17.19 kernel.

Every major subsystem has been updated.  In addition @bonienl has added some really cool features and update the default themes to match our new branding.

    Management:

    • Docker: add optional per-container wait before starting
    • Enable IPv6 for NTP
    • rc.cpufreq: For CPUs using intel_pstate, always use the performance governor.
      • This also provides power savings on Intel processors while avoiding the ramp-up lag present when using the powersave governor (which is the default if ondemand is requested on these machines).
    • restore docker custom networks upon docker start
    • update smartmontools drivedb and hwdata/{pci.ids,usb.ids,oui.txt,manuf.txt}
    • webgui: docker: Correct docker container icon name generation
    • webgui: docker: added cpu load and memory load display
    • webgui: docker: added shell/bash selection for console

    • webgui: New CPU pinning functionality
    • webgui: Change wording on dashboard page "memory total usable"
    • webgui: Include meminfo in diagnostics
    • webgui: Docker containers page: show container starting up message
      • Starting docker service and auto-starting containers has been decoupled. This lets the docker page return as soon as the service is ready. The container overview page shows a new message, and will automatically reload to update the status until all containers are auto-started
    • webgui: VMs: preserve XML custom settings in VM config updates
    • webgui: dockerMan: Avoid filename collisions on FAT32

Firefox,... am currently trying something: I moved back to 6.5.3 (powerdown -r and the flash share were my friend), and set the theme to "white".

I was using the azure theme, since it came up.

Should also help to just set theme to "white" in the /flash/config/plugins/dynamix/dynamix.cfg, as a workaround without required reboots.

Whats the new theme called? White is the empty "old one"

The screen in your post above suggest the "standard" white theme isn't used.

Did you manually change the theme name in the past?

An unformatted screen may happen when a theme name is not recognized.

The default white and black themes are updated in Unraid 6.6 and should appear normally if they were used in an earlier version.

Hm, I did not modify any themes... but the unformatted screen (screenshot #1) showed up with "azure" still selected.

Screenshot #2 shows what happened after I rolled back to 6.5.3 and set my theme back to the white one.

Okay, booting in safe mode works... one of my plugins must be at fault.

    Try the following:

With Unraid 6.5.3 installed change the theme to "white" (as you probably already did)

Upgrade to Unraid 6.6.0-rc1 and the default white theme should be replaced by the new theme.

GUI is tested and confirmed to be working on all major browsers.

    Firefox 61.0.2 is working fine.

Thanks for your fast replies.. using safe mode it works perfectly fine.

It must be one of my plugins. How do I best debug this?

Anyone upgrading from an Unraid version BEFORE 6.4, must read and follow the instructions here when upgrading to Unraid 6.6

@limetech best to add this note to the OT

Great release, (almost) everything seems to be working for me!

Just some minor inconsistencies about the WebUI that I observed:

    • The "Logical CPUs" selection when editing a VM uses what looks to be radio buttons. Radio buttons normally indicate that only one can be chosen, which is not the case here. Might want to change them to look like checkboxes instead.
    • The same thing applies for the "CPU Pinning" selection when editing docker containers.
    • The apply / reset and update / cancel buttons on the various pages have the exact same look. I would personally prefer that they were easier to distinguish. Maybe make the apply / update buttons have a slight green hue?
    • When force-updating a container, the "Yes, update it!"-button has a weird blue color.

EDIT: Just observed another bug. It's not possible to check for updates to all docker containers in the WebUI. It simply reloads the list and does nothing. It is however possible to manually call the update script by doing the following:

    php /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/scripts/dockerupdate.php

That works, and the pending updates are reflected in the WebUI after running the script.

That looks like a problem on your flash device.

Powerdown your system and take the USB stick out. Let it do a scan and repair on a Windows machine
