  • [6.12.10] Regularly Virtual Machines Shutting Down and "Resource Temporarily Unavailable"

    Greetings,

     

    My two virtual machines, Home Assistant and Pihole, regularly shutdown about every 4-5 days.  It has happened about half a dozen times.  Sometimes it is both VMs, others it is just Pihole. 

     

    When this happens I also receive email notification that "/bin/sh: fork: retry: Resource temporarily unavailable" for:

    • user root /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/scripts/monitor &> /dev/null
    • user root /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/recycle.bin/scripts/get_trashsizes &> /dev/null
    • user root /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.system.stats/scripts/sa1 1 1 &> /dev/null

     

    I'm not doing any particular activity when this happens.

    Open = Under consideration.

     

    Solved = The issue has been resolved.

     

    Solved version = The issue has been resolved in the indicated release version.

     

    Closed = Feedback or opinion better posted on our forum for discussion. Also for reports we cannot reproduce or need more information. In this case just add a comment and we will review it again.

     

    Retest = Please retest in latest release.

    Priority Definitions

     

    Minor = Something not working correctly.

     

    Urgent = Server crash, data loss, or other showstopper.

     

    Annoyance = Doesn't affect functionality but should be fixed.

     

    Other = Announcement or other non-issue.
