• [6.12.8] upgrade from 6.9.2 to 6.12.8 borks Windows 10 vm

    • Solved Minor

After upgrade, starting the vm shows a strange behavior on Unraid dashboard of pegging all cores/threads assigned to it.  Vm is not accessible via rdp and the plex server that starts automatically in windows vm is not accessible from any plex clients.  The vm is set up to use gpu passthrough.

Downgrading results in the vm running normally.

Since I'm building a new replacement server I decided to experiment with setting the vm graphics to vnc.  I rebooted and confirmed the vm ran ok.  I upgraded unraid to 6.12.8 and found that the vm still worked.  I then set the vm graphics to the nvidia card, rebooted and found that the vm ran ok and showed that passthrough was working.
