• [6.7.2] Starting a 2nd VM immediately after starting a 1st VM displays 1st VM as paused

    • Annoyance

I have multiple Win 10 VM's. I started "Cam 1" and then immediately started "Cam 2".

"Cam 1" displays it is paused and "Cam 2" reports it has been started (green arrow)

Resuming "Cam 1" reports that the domain is already running.

Simply waiting and taking no action reports both VM's as running.

Not sure there is any bug here (or if there is it is purely cosmetic) :)  Sounds like it is a timing issue with the 1st VM still starting when you start the 2nd one and the way the GUI updates VM status.

Still it does no harm to report it so that someone who understands the GUI code is aware of it in case behaviour can be improved.

It's GUI update timing - this has been like that for a while.

I start 2 VMs and I can watch status outside of the GUI and everything is fine. The GUI just reads the status too soon. Also only affects "heavy" VM. My feather weight MS-DOS VM doesn't have this issue.

The GUI read the status of ALL VMs at once as soon as one changes state, this may lead to a state which is not up to date and a page refresh/reload is required.

It can be corrected by making individual VM updates, but I haven't come around doing this.
