• [6.8.1-6.8.3] Window 10 VM performance becomes unusable after 6.8.1+ update

    Hi,

Not sure if this is the right spot to post or not. I had been running a Windows 10 VM for a few months without any issue until I tried to upgrade to 6.8.1. After the upgrade, the VM performance is so slow that it is unusable (moving the mouse is seriously delayed, 2-3mins to start Firefox, etc.). I just tried 6.8.3 and had similar issues, so I had to downgrade back to 6.8.0.

It looks like libvert and qemu were both versioned up in 6.8.1, so not sure if something changed in the underlying libraries where I should adjust my VM XML.

    Here's the VM in question:

A few things to note about my setup:

    • The domains share is currently on my cache drive (2 1TB NVME drives) - I know it's better to run this on an unassigned drive, but I'm currently out of ports
    • Passing through a RTX 2060 (haven't had any issues in the past)
    • Passing through a Renasas uPD720202 USB controller (haven't had any issues in the past)

    Would appreciate any help!

    Thanks,

    Burke
