• [6.8.1] VM does not start after reboot

    Hello guys.

When i do a restart of the unRAID-Server e.g. after an update (6.8.0-6.8.1), the VM (pfSense with a dedicated 4-port NIC, autostart activated) cannot be started.

The dedicated NIC is also not showing up:

When i try to start the VM manually, this error message occurs:

    VM3.png.c86ab4dba48590988854597ea274aa8e.png

Shutting down the server completely and pushing the power button solves the problem:

I would like to be able to do an unRAID-update remotely, without the necessity to be present to push the power button.

    Has anyone the same phenomenon?

I also cannot reboot my Unraid machine. I am currently doing a power off and then using WOL to turn it back on as a workaround. This requires a seperate device to complete this though.

    Oh sorry, you are right.

Here are the diagnostics after a reboot

Thanks, these confirm my suspicions, the quad NIC isn't being detect after a reboot, so nothing LT can do about this, look for a bios update (and/or reset bios to defaults) or try a PCIe different slot if available.
