  • [6.9.2] Nvidia Code 43 on Windows VM - Resolved by sleeping and then resuming VM

I had a lot of struggles getting quadro (m2000, P4000) graphics cards working in a windows VM. I eventually nailed down the reliable way to get them working. They are not in the first slot, but I only have 1 in my system at a time. I'd expect there to be no issues with passing through a Quadro card.

You just put the VM to sleep, and then resume it and install the drivers. It works every time.

    • Installing, uninstalling, removing, replacing drivers wouldn't fix it.

When I start unraid, I get the error code. If I just put them VM to sleep and then resume it and install drivers, it starts working again.

The reason this is a bug report is:

Each time I start the VM I have to put it to sleep right away and then resume it for the cards to work. But it works each time.

I have to second this approach. I can't explain why. But this seemed to work for me as well. I booted to the 800x600 interface with code 43. Paused and Resumed the VM and then installed the drivers. Thanks for this.

What version of windows are you running? and did you have to use a vbios?

I updated windows, and after it working for 3 months, I can't get it to work again.

Updating to urgent as I still can't get the graphics card working again.
