[6.9.2] Unraid Boot USB key overwritten or failed

  • Minor

Hi everybody,

A few days ago i got a warning in Unraid telling me that my boot usb key was inaccesible, i did nothing with the warning at that time.

Today i restarted the server and it wouldnt boot, a logical thing after the warning.

I decided to take the backup of my flash drive from the My Servers section and created a new USB boot drive, this went fairly easy so i hope my server is up and running again soon.

Only thing is, when i look at the contense of the old boot drive it looks all very strange.

I looks like the drive is overwritten with all sorts of weird data, see attached file.

Can anybody tell me that when a USB drive fails, what happened to me is normal because it looks like somebody (Hacker) of something (Unraid) has overwritten the files.

Do i need to be worried or is this just a case of a drive failing?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Martijn
