[7.0.1] Thunderbolt CalDigit Connect 10G (Aquantia AQC107S) fails in 7.0.1 but ok in 6.

  • Urgent

After upgrading to 7.0.1 my NIC was not recognised, after some troubleshooting and running in safe mode I get the following 'Unknown header type 7f':

root@Lime:~# lspci -nn | grep -i aquantia

Chat GPT suggests that this is likely to do with:

Stricter Thunderbolt security behavior Changes in PCIe tunneling defaults Possible missing quirks for CalDigit's Thunderbolt-to-PCIe bridge Potentially broken Aquantia driver binding when tunneled via Thunderbolt

I am running on:

Intel Corporation NUC12WSBi7 , Version M46422-303

Intel Corp., Version WSADL357.0085.2022.0718.1739

BIOS dated: Mon 18 Jul 2022 12:00 AM

Diagnostics attached.
