On my Windows 10 VM I use an AMD Starship / Matisse HD Audio Controller as the audio device. After booting into the VM no audio hardware device is found connected, even in Device Manager.
In the VM template, it was set to "none", so I've tried changing between the AMD Maltisse Audio Controller and even the AC97 software device (changes were made with the VM powered off) and it still detects no audio. Note for the AC97 audio Windows doesn't auto detect a driver for it.
Additional question: Where can I find the XML files for my VMs in either my Diagnostic or Full Flash Backup?
