Using the built-in file browser to delete all files in a share and then trying to delete that share will fail without any obvious warning, the UI just stays on the same page instead of reverting back to the main screen like it should. The problem: Unraid says that the share is empty, however it is not, if there's a symlink, the file browser doesn't see it and the User Share screen thinks it's empty and shows the checkbox.
Solution: show symlinks in the file browser and detect them for the "delete" checkbox.
