NVME drive disappearing on updates > 7.0.1

TL:DR on updating to a version greater than 7.0.1 one of my nvme drives is no longer found by the os causing the array to not come up.

My system is built on an asus WS C621E SAGE motherboard. I am not using an unraid array, but I have 2 zfs nvme arrays. When upgrading to a newer version of unraid OS one of the 8tb nvme drive disappears and makes the array unable to come up. Once I revert to 7.0.1 everything is ok again. I've attached a screenshot, but please let me know if there's any more info needed. I have the diagnostic file saved so I can provide that as well.
