I've noticed today that my system has been rebooting itself every 30 mins. Nothing major seems to be appearing in the logs, so I have no idea what is causing it. It also seems to want to start a parity check every time it reboots despite not having one scheduled. The only thing that has changed recently is the upgrade to 7.2, so I'm going to rollback and see if it fixes it. I was having some issues in the leadup with my duplicati backup, but I uninstalled it, and still had the reboot issue af

Please consider updating the docker buildx "Docker CLI plugin". The current version provided with unRAID appears to be v0.14.0 which is around 2 years old and the current version is v0.30.0. This is now causing a problem with docker compose as it no longer supports versions prior to v0.17.0. My quick research suggests that buildx v0.21.0 is the most compatible with Docker v27.5.1 that is installed in unRAID 7.2.3

When connected remotely and trying to stream video from Plex, using the inbuilt wireguard with Unraid gives constant buffering. After installing the linuxserver Wireguard Docker and also trying the tailscale plugin, all of this buffering goes away and the streaming works flawlessly.

I’m experiencing a recurring issue where my NVMe drive, used as a ZFS cache pool, intermittently fails. This causes the kernel to disable the device, ZFS to suspend the pool, and Unraid to enter a looping state where it cannot cleanly unmount user shares or datasets. This loop ultimately forces me to perform a hard reset, resulting in an unclean shutdown. Key Details: Initial NVMe Drive Failure: The NVMe drive starts by showing timeout errors (I/O timeout) in the kernel log

I am running 7.2.3 and the server seems to function as I can access services and the drives from remote shares but the web access does not display information regarding the drives or the system function (network, processor, etc) and terminal access does not work. I can also not run reports so am unable to post logs

Earlier today, I found out that you can apparently link shares or really any location on the unRAID OS to your VMs through VirtIO. I tried setting this up using a share I made as the source path and entering 'backup' for the tag. However, doing just this and nothing else, even on a new VM, completely breaks ethernet. The VM is running Ubuntu 24.04 and assigning this share, regardless of whether you actually mount it through any means, makes the default ethernet interface (which I believe is call

Ive had trouble with my connection(s) for a while now and i finally found the root cause for it. Having the macvtap enabled causes consistent incoming package loss, which is really not noticeable unless you have to rely on every package. Which in this case it did and caused a lot of issues. Activating the macvlan bridge or even ipvlan bridge removes the issue completely. Observed this on 2 different systems. Macvtap.mp4 magnon-box-diagnostics-20240203-0926.zip U

I disabled "Favourites" from settings and remove all favourite items; but the Favorites tab is still there and it's no use to refresh browser.

I’m experiencing a strange issue with upgrading Unraid from version 7.1.4 to 7.2.3. After the upgrade, two HDDs were no longer recognized. I checked the cables, but the issue persisted. I then downgraded Unraid, only to find that a different HDD had dropped out. After searching online and checking with ChatGPT, I suspected the power supply might be the cause, as it was nearly 15 years old. I replaced it with a new PSU, and everything worked fine initially. Based on that, I decided to upgrade Unr

Unraid Stable 7.2.3 on N5105 Hi all, just wanted to flag an odd experience I had as this could potentially be a data loss scenario for some. I ran a 1 parity (12GB WD HDD)/1 data (10TB WD HDD) array for 2 years. The 12TB was a warranty replacement for another identical 10TB HDD. The failing HD was my parity, so the 12TB also became the new parity. All good so far. I now needed more storage and wanted to add another 12TB to the data pool. I bought a Seagate 12TB HDD, unfortunately it turned o

This whole API, Connect ... I don't get it. Whenever I log out from here and try to log back in, I do get a "Something went wrong message". I have to go back and Unraid asks "Do you want to sign in with hawik*". I click ok and I'm in. Today I went to the Connect Dashboard. There I found that: Clicking on My Keys I get that: Page has moved. Ok, I click on Account Management. I do get that: An authorization error. You can see that I'm logged in (lower left). Is it just me?

Summary Since upgrading to Unraid 7.2.0 and 7.2.1, my system crashes after 1-2 days of uptime. I previously suspected a power supply issue, replaced the PSU, and performed version comparisons. The issue appears to be specific to the 7.2.x versions. Details & Timeline On 7.2.0, the server consistently crashed after a couple of days. I replaced my PSU (the previous one was a ~13-year-old budget unit). I downgraded to 7.1.4. On 7.1.4, the system remained stable for 14 consecutive days, with

The plugin appears to be looking for mkfs.exfat in /usr/sbin/, but with 7.2+ it now exists in /sbin/. Creating a symlink resolves the issue, but the plugin should be updated to correct it. Jan 9 20:23:47 TheArchive unassigned.devices: Format failed: sh: line 1: /usr/sbin/mkfs.exfat: No such file or directory

Had in instance where I thought my server crashed, but I could hear Plex running in the other room still. I could access some of the dockers just fine, but the Unraid GUI and Plex GUI were unresponsive along with my OPNSense VM. Plugging in a keyboard and monitor I could not access the command line but could view the output on the monitor. The server also could not reboot via a single press of the power button. Had to do a hard shutdown. unraid-plex-diagnostics-20251222_0759.zip

Hi, I've had this problem for a long time. I thought it would resolve with each update but that was never the case so I finally report my bug. I cannot access my network settings : Even if I select another interface I still only have a white screen with nothing in it. Extra/Rules/Routing Table are working well though. Looking at the PHP logs I see this for each interface I try to display : [31-Dec-2025 09:52:30 Europe/Paris] Error evaluating content in webGui/Eth0.page (severity: N/A): Can

After a routine power-off, one of my array disks (Disk 4) was no longer recognized as part of the array and simply saying "Not installed". I did try different SATA ports on my mainboard, switched the SATA cable and only later on realized the disk shows up under the "Unassigned devices". The disk itself is healthy and readable. disks.ini shows empty serial for Disk 4: ["disk4"] device="" id="" idSb="" status="DISK_NP_DSBL" sizeSb="17578328012" devs.ini shows the disk correctly under unassigned:

Hello, Following the latest update, my server shuts down on its own after a few short minutes. I don't have any logs to provide, as no logs have been written since the update. There's nothing on the USB drive dated the day of the update, and the server shuts down quite quickly, so there's no access anywhere. Where can I look for a possible solution? Thanks in advance.

Hi folks, this issue has taken me an inordinate amount of time to identify. My environment: Unraid OS: 7.2.3 VM Type: UEFI (OVMF) Guest OS: Debian 12 (but issue is hypervisor‑level, not guest‑specific) Hypervisor: KVM/QEMU via libvirt Storage: vdisk1.img on /mnt/user/domains/<vmname>/ UEFI VMs are the default for most modern OSes. Cloning is essential for: staging changes testing upgrades templating disaster recovery snapshot‑style workflows At present, cloning a UEFI VM requi

Minor display glitch on Interface tile on Dashboard: The size of the General Info dropdownlist jumps all the time with the size of the text in the next line. The next line shows In-/Outbound values. As these change all the time and jump - in my case - between 0 and 250 the dropdownlist above changes its size always. Funny to watch the arrow of the list moving around. As I wrote: Just a minor GUI problem.

Hello. I just ugraded my test server to 7.2 and it seems there's a few bugs in the header customization setup: It doesn't appear to be displaying the gradient. Custom images are squeezed to fit, or squeezed to fit if too large. They used to be centered and cropped. It would be great to have the option to choose the display between "stretched/fit" to "cropped/center", "cropped/Left", "Cropped/Right", but setting it back to the display format it was would be fine in my book. I know they're not

The new notifications slide-out should leverage the History API so that pressing the back button will close the notifications rather than navigating back a page. This is especially true on mobile, where the notifications slide-out covers the entire screen, appearing to be a new page for all intents and purposes. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/History/pushState

Issue Description: The Unraid webGUI footer displays: "Unraid® webGui ©2025 , Lime Technology , Inc."As of the current date (January 05, 2026), this copyright year appears to be outdated. It should likely be updated to ©2026 to reflect the current year. This is visible on every page of the webGUI in the footer. Steps to reproduce: Log in to the Unraid webGUI. Navigate to any page (e.g., Main tab). Observe the footer text showing ©2025. Expected Behavior: The copyright year should auto

On especially Lucky backup, but also on urbackup, files that normally transferred at 160Mb/s +, slowed down to less than 10Mb/s. Backups normally take 1.5 hours on average, now it took more than 4 hours on Lucky backup and even urbackup took several hours, even on Incremental backups. I therefore downgraded to 7.2.2 an now it runs fast again! I include diagnostics for what it is worth. Thank you. towerlightning-diagnostics-20251229_1509.zip

After I upgraded my desktop to Windows 11 I started to notice those error messages in the log: Jun 3 21:46:43 SS nginx: 2024/06/03 21:46:43 [error] 13437#13437: *32614 limiting requests, excess: 20.615 by zone "authlimit", client: 192.168.1.9, server: , request: "PROPFIND /login HTTP/1.1", host: "192.168.1.6" I was getting 16-17 of those error messages per second. Too many and the GUI (that nginx is running) will respond with a 503 and the server needs to be rebooted.
