Using the built-in file browser to delete all files in a share and then trying to delete that share will fail without any obvious warning, the UI just stays on the same page instead of reverting back to the main screen like it should. The problem: Unraid says that the share is empty, however it is not, if there's a symlink, the file browser doesn't see it and the User Share screen thinks it's empty and shows the checkbox. Solution: show symlinks in the file browser and detect them for the "dele

Hello Unraid Team, I would like to report a minor UI inconsistency regarding the Istanbul timezone. Since 2016, Turkey has moved to a permanent UTC+03:00 offset (no longer uses Daylight Saving Time). However, in the Unraid Settings -> Date and Time page, the dropdown menu still lists Istanbul as "(UTC+02:00) Istanbul". Interestingly, the system seems to apply the correct UTC+03:00 offset internally, but the label in the WebGUI is outdated (probably hardcoded) and misleading for Turkish user

After updating to 7.2, my RAID 1 NME BTFS volume, which is used for Docker containers and VMs, stopped working. During diagnosis, it was noticed that the volume is in read-only mode. Restarting usually fixes the problem for a few hours. On one occasion, I also found that the devices could no longer be located. My ZFS RAID and HDD array did not exhibit any issues. Unfortunately, the diagnostic download was interrupted, so I am unable to attach the files. I then downgraded the system back to 7.1

It would seem that any notification coming in discord using 7.2.3 and that have more than one line and a \n line return, don't render it properly and just sends it to discord as plaintext. The bellow example is of my daily health report, but I've seen it happen on the preclear plugin's notficiation as well as a "disk read error" notification (when my SATA card crashed 😅). Essentially anything that prints out a multi-line notification. One-liners are unaffected. Unsure if this is a discord issue

Shortly after upgrading to version 7.2.3, I noticed that the docker service did not restart and failed to start on subsequent reboots. I do not have the depth of knowledge on Unraid to figure out how to solve the issue on my own. winnas-diagnostics-20251227_2335.zip

ISSUE RESOLVED: Posting this for anyone else having similar issues...   TL;DR - Try changing VM Sound Card setting to "None"   So I upgraded to 7.1.1 last night and started having issues with a WIN11 VM locking up when starting games.   I'm passing thru a 5090 which has been working fine on version 7.0.1 for the last month or so.   I thought it might have something to do with undervolt settings so I reset the voltage curve and memory clock to stock setting

I've not experienced this error for quite some time and have just stopped my array...only for it not to stop correctly with the message being shown in the status bar. Had to force reboot my server and now a parity check is being run due to unsafe shutdown. Is this a 'one-off' or has anyone else experience this problem in the latest release?

Hi, I upgraded to 7.2.2 a few weeks ago, and I've now experienced two server hangs since the upgrade. I'm running a HP Microserver Gen 8 with a Xeon E3-1265L V2 and 16GB RAM. When non-responsive the HDD light on the front is on solidly and the neither the Unraid UI nor any of the docker containers or my home assistant VM responds, but the Unraid management IP does ping. When doing a brief press of the power button, the console acknowledges the press and the server starts to shutdown but then ha

Just upgraded from v7.2.0 to v7.2.3 and now my gpu is not being detected. Still shows in system devices but NVIDIA plug-in not detecting it, says "NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.". Made no changes to system other than the upgrade to 7.2.3. Tried rolling back the upgrade but that did not help. Running latest NVIDIA drivers 590.48.01 (GPU only used for transcoding). Diag report attached.

I followed the instructions to do a parity swap: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/using-unraid-to/manage-storage/array/replacing-disks-in-array/#parity-swap Nowhere in these instructions does it mention that I should disable the spin down delay, but when I woke up this morning I found this in the logs: Dec 15 00:38:05 Media emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sdd Dec 15 00:38:05 Media emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sde Dec 15 00:38:44 Media emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sdc Dec 15 00:38:47 Media emhttpd: r

Unraid 7.2.2 My server crashed in some way on the afternoon of Dec 23. I was out of town so I'm not sure what happened and I had no onscreen information from the server itself when I was able to check. Once I rebooted the server, everything appeared ok and all the drives aren't showing any errors. The only issue at the moment is all my dockers have disappeared. I would like to know why it crashed (it was up for months without issue since I upgraded to 7.2.2) and why the dockers have all gone. If

04/22/2026 - I found the root cause of this issue was a Ryzen 5700g CPU. That CPU died today, I replaced with a spare off the shelf Ryzen 1700x and the slow dashboard issue went away. Instantly loads the dashboard now. The 5700G (APU) uses integrated graphics, whereas the 1700X likely uses a dedicated GPU. The Unraid kernel may be struggling with AMD APU drivers. Hope this helps someone. After upgrading to latest 7.2.0 my dashboard screen takes over 2 minutes to load. Troubleshooting: Issu

Since the update to Version 7.2.3 my discrete Intel B50 GPU only works with around half the power (35-40 Watt) and seems to throttle around 60 degrees, which could explain the power loss. Before the Unraid OS-update, the temperatures were around 68 degrees and the power consumption was 70 watts. I changed nothing (no gpu driver update / no bios update / no change in anything) expect of the Unraid OS-update, tried several VMs (Ubuntu / Win Server 2022) which all worked with full power (70 Watts)

When booting up, I get the message: "VM Autostart disabled due to vfio-bind error", and as expected, the VM set to auto-start doesn't actually start. However, if I manually start the VM after the system has fully booted, it launches without any issues. The VM is configured to passthrough a "VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation AlderLake-S GT1". It seems like a race condition during boot — the VM tries to start before the GPU is fully bound and available for passthrough. tower-diagnosti

Prior to 7.2 upgrade, I have vlan 10 setup for VM use. VM and host are on different subnet, and firewall is configured for traffic to flow freely between VM and server. Vlan 10 on unraid is configured as interface only, the server does not get an ip from the vlan 10 subnet. After 7.2 upgrade, I found out my VM cannot no longer reach the containers hosted on the server. This is a straightforward issue to replicate with Firefox and Microsoft Edge on Windows 11. Go to Settings > Display and set your theme to Dynamix Gray. Refresh the page and the header at the top of the web page will be entirely white as in the White theme. I have two Unraid hosts, but this problem exists across both. I upgraded to 7.2.3, from 7.2.2, or whatever the latest stable previous release was prior. Prior to this I have: Cleared all Cached Data for Firefox. Checked with Microsoft

If an Unraid server on the local IP 10.1.1.20 is behind a reverse proxy on example.com, the URL you get when attempting to open a VNC console to a VM looks like this: https://example.com/plugins/dynamix.vm.manager/vnc.html?v=1746576860&resize=scale&autoconnect=true&host=10.1.1.20&port=&path=/wsproxy/5700/ Opening this URL won't work, but just changing host=10.1.1.20 to host=example.com will make it load just fine, provided the reverse proxy is set up properly. I noticed a minor cleanup issue after renaming my ZFS "cache" pool. I had a scheduled scrub set up on the old pool name before the rename. It seems the system didn't clean up the old scheduler tasks, as /config/plugins/dynamix/scrub_cache.cron is still present on the flash drive. I also checked dynamix.cfg and the [scrub_cache] entry with the schedule settings is still there. It likely doesn't cause any adverse effects since the pool name is gone, but I thought it was worth reporting so it can
