Unable to update Unraid to stable or rc

I am currently on ver 6.7.3-rc2. I tried to update Unraid to both latest stable release and rc release. I ran the update assistant which says system is fine to update, all plugins and dockers have been updated. When I press update the update plugin page appears saying downloading and this is the issue. The system stalls at 1 or 2 percent for hours. Is there a way to manually update by downloading the zip file or is there something I am missing?
