    • Retest Annoyance

This happens when a USB device is previously set to passthrough for one VM and then when the VM stops is disconnected. This error will not allow any physical soundcard or graphics card to passthrough to VM, and VNC will be the only working option.

This error is caused as even the unplugged usb disappears from the form view, the line that passes through said USB device is not removed in the XML file of the VM, causing this error.

In addition, we need a better overall description of the issue as I'm a little confused on the situation here.  Please provide detailed steps to recreate the issue and of course, please attach your system diagnostics.  From reading your post, this is what I'm gathering:

    1)  You have a USB device (a controller or an individual device such as a mouse?).

    2)  It is set to attach to a VM and it works fine, but when you stop the VM, the USB device is "disconnected" (not sure what that means).

    3)  After the VM is stopped, if you try to start it again, you cannot pass through video or audio and instead, you can only access via VNC (what happens when you try to start it again?  do you get an error?)

Please try to better explain your issue (I know it can be tough if english isn't your first language) and of course, please attach those system diagnostics.
