v7.0.0>v7.1.2 Upgrade resulted in multiple system errors

I upgraded to 7.1.2 today and it resulted in multiple issues for me:

  1. high CPU usage
  2. 'domains' share went missing
  3. a seemingly healthy disk got disabled
    • rebuild was going at 230kbps, these are enterprise grade SAS disks

 

Downgraded back to v7.0.0 and immediately issues 1 and 2 resolved, disk rebuild (same disk no changes) is now rebuilding at 280MBps(+11,000x faster)
