The bug has existed for 10 months, since 6.10.RC2 If the USB passthrough function does not work for a long time and is no longer fixed, it should be removed.

Oh dear - if I new about this - I waited a long time to upgrade to 6.10 since my flaskdrive was too small from the new release - everything went well expect for Hassio - I got the same setup.

I removed to old usblib hotplug plugin and replaced it with usb_settings. allthough is shows connected (and even hassio/deconz sees the stick, it wont connect)

I even tried to tinker with the xml of the vm (also somewhere on the forums) without luck.

And to be fair - it sucks that this bug is still present -

Would passing through an entire pci-device work? I'm thinking about buying a dedicated vanilla pci-card containing nothing but usb ports - my motherboard is that old. just pcix 16 slots and 2 pci slots. Would that work ??

Edit: Not sure I would classify this as minor I think a lot of user are using a setup  like this - and it has been working for years and now they (me too) need to find a workaround for it - Not even sure if its possible to export the vm to an other machine / hypervisor. @guybrush2012 if it's broken, it should be fixed - not to be removed -

Edit2: I just notice the severance of "minor" and the other tags - please classify this as "Annoyance" - I know my wife is going to be very annoyed when she finds out that our Hassio-setup is no longer working (and it's not just the lightswitches) -

@SimonF  I followed that procedure before I posted my message, but I think I made a typo along the way - This morning I tried again (I restored the original xml when it did not work) and it worked in one go. Thanks
