• Wake from S3 Sleep Disks In Standby Mode but Are Active

    • Annoyance

    When waking from S3 Sleep, all of the Disks are spun up. However, when I go to the Main tab, all of the Devices are shown as being in Standby Mode. For this reason, the drives never spin down after inactivity (mine is set to 15 minutes). I have to manually spin down the disks.

    Attached is the System Log. The Server starts up (usually) at 15:50 each day.

    I'm on Unraid Version 6.8.3.

    Have you found a solution to this? Just encountered this myself.

    Use this under Settings, Sleep Settings, "Custom commands after wake-up":

    sleep 120;
    hdparm -y $(ls /dev/sd*|grep "[a-z]$") >/dev/null 2>&1

    120 sek after wakup, this command sends all disk into sleep.

    FYI: After every reboot of the server, you must send all disk to sleep by hand one time.

    Thanks, just got around to enable it - works flawlessly.
