April 19, 20179 yr Hello, my main OS is currently Linux but I want to play games that don't run on linux that well. So I currently have a dual-boot setup with linux and windows. A friend of mine told me about unRAID. It looks cool but I have some concerns about VAC (Valve Anti Cheat) since unRAID runs VMs I wanted to know if anyone has experience with unRAID and competetive games. I heard, that VAC has some kind of VM detection and competetive games won't start on VMs. So is there anyone here who plays CS:GO or some other kind of competetive game using VAC and can confirm, that this works without any problems (on Windows)? April 20, 20179 yr Here's one report relevant to your question, looks like @jonp one of the LimeTech staff are onto the problem, hopefully now I've pinged him he'll be able to update you some more on the current state of play.
May 21, 20179 yr I have the same problem ATM, last year i had no problems with VAC but know i also get this error on unRAID. Are there any news to fix the problem ?
