Computer locking up after 6.4.0

Featured Replies

It seems since I upgraded to 6.4.0, my server eventually comes unresponsive. I might be able to ssh in but once I put my password it it stall and never gets to the prompt. It happens after about a few days and then I have no option but to do a hard powerdown. I have since upgraded to 6.4.1 hoping it would fix the issue but it still happens. I enabled troubleshooting mode in Fix Common Problems and have attached the diagnostics. I'm not quite sure what the issue is. Any help is appreciated. I don't want to suffer any data damage from all these hard shut downs.

Uninstall the Advanced Buttons plugin and the preclear plugin, then try the update to 6.4.1 again (you're still on 6.4.0)

I also recommend you review the other advice in this post:

Yes, I did see that. That was the newest diagnostics I have. After I got that diagnostics, I saw the bit about Advanced Buttons, uninstalled it and upgraded.  It still locked up though but I had forgotten to turn troubleshooting mode back on so I didn't get a diagnostics for that instance. I turned it on this time though and am just waiting for something to go wrong.

Did you also uninstall preclear? That is known to cause problems in 6.4.1.

Nothing else we can do without fresh diagnostics

No, I will uninstall pre-clear as well. I'll get fresh diagnostics up the next time it happens.
