Successfully logged in to GUI, wait a few minutes, selected some tab (can't recall which) and get a banner "System notifications are disabled. Click here to change notification settings."

Try to re-enable but setting flips back to disabled. Eventually realize USB drive MIA:

That last line "fail for partition 1" is filling up log partition. Only 6 hours till I can get home and fix this.

Dockers and VMs are running fine (I hope I didn't speak too soon.)

Luckily I have a backup and a spare USB drive to recover with.

I thought I post this and diags for suggestions/tips, etc.

I was able to get things up and running with a new USB drive and thought I'd document what happened:

  • Shutdown unRaid, copied config/ from a recent backup and rebooted.
  • Ran through the Key management to move key to new USB drive.
  • Rebooted
  • "Array Stopped - Stale Config"
  • Re-selected drives and proceeded to rebuild.

I didn't think to take screen shots until after it was rebuilding.
