Yes i would too.
Intel is notorious for doing firmware/version checks on modules and cards.
This was one of the "fixes" in a driver version past 5.1
- Fix FW passthrough mode checking to avoid shutting down the PHY. - Fix link detection after swapping SFP+ modules.
I can write something up to show other x520 users how to update their card firmware if that needs to be done.
Ok i updated my adapter to latest Intel(R) Boot Agent XE v2.4.16
and did a few iperf tests.
It appears it works now.
Possible a very old version of firmware combined with newest driver caused the issues?
Maybe someone else with a x520 can chime in?
It appears the new 10Gbit Ethernet driver for intel has broken unraid.
Drops my speeds down to nothing.
Gui is non-responsive.
I am running a intel x520 single port setup.
NO issues with previous build.
I tried 2 browsers, chrome and firefox.
Also tried transfering files via SMB and speeds were 40 times slower.
Please revert.
AFAIK Intel controllers, unlike some AMD, are all or nothing, and would not recommend using an onboard controller in IDE mode, IMO either live with it or get a cheap non AHCI controller.
Did you look at log/service.log.0 in your appdata? In your history, we see that CrashPlan is starting often. Are you restarting the container? Or maybe it's CrashPlan that crashes?
In libvirt KVM xml, we have lots of ethernet adapter model (e1000 virtio and other) I would like to be able to change the model in gui editor not in xml view because it will get replace in gui editor
Problems again on ATA9 and 10, they share the same Asmedia controller, if you already replaced cables (including power cables) it could be a controller problem.
yes that works if your smart TV have a plex app or have a good web browser. Unfortunately my TV have a really bad "smart TV " functionality (Panasonic VIERA VT60 50" - plasma).
Here is a list of some supported plex smart tv: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/204080173-Which-Smart-TV-models-are-supported-
PS. after the installing plex on your unraid server, from your server computer you have to go to: http://localhost:32400/web or http://127.0.0.1:32400/web and sign in to your plex account. I did not mention that in the instruction that I link to in my first post.
What account are you using when trying to join the domain?
When I first tried to get my unRAID server to join my domain, I had issues as well.
It would act like it joined ok but it really hadn't.
I was using my personal account that I always use; it's a member of Domain admins.
Wouldn't work and it was driving me nuts.
I then tried the local administator account of the domain controller.
DCName\administrator
That is what worked for me.
You might want to give that a shot.
