  1. Community Applications (aka CA) This thread is rather long, and it is NOT necessary to read it in order to utilize Community Applications (CA) Just install the plugin, go to the apps tab and enjoy the freedom. If you find an issue with CA, then don't bother searching for answers in this thread as all issues (when they have surfaced) are fixed generally the same day that they are found... (But at least read the preceding post or two on the last page of the thread) Simple interface and easy to use, you will be able to find and install any of the unRaid docker or plugin applications, and also optionally gain access to the entire library of applications available on dockerHub (~1.8 million) INSTALLATION Under 6.10.x+ to install CA, just go to the already existing Apps Tab in the Unraid UI and you'll be prompted to automatically install it. For older versions of Unraid, paste the following URL into the Plugins / Install Plugin section: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Squidly271/community.applications/master/plugins/community.applications.plg After installation, a new tab called "Apps" will appear on your unRaid webGUI. To see what the various icons do, simply press Help or the (?) on unRaid's Tab Bar. Note All screenshots in this post are subject to change as Community Applications continues to evolve Easily search or browse applications Get full details on the application Easily reinstall previously installed applications Find out about your favourite authors And much, much more Multi-Language Installations When running on a supported version of Unraid that supports Multi-Language (6.9.0+), CA is the recommended way to install any of the Language Packs available. See this post for more detail Note that CA is always (and always will be) compatible with the latest Stable version of unRaid, and the Latest/Next version of unRaid. Intermediate versions of various Release Candidates may or may not be compatible (though they usually are - But, if you have made the decision to run unRaid Next, then you should also ensure that all plugins and unRaid itself (not just CA) are always up to date). Additionally, every attempt is made to keep CA compatible with older versions of unRaid. As of this writing, CA is compatible with all versions of unRaid from 6.12.0 onward. Require a proxy? 2. I'm having an issue with one of the VMs being stuck at "Updating" when re-configuring the settings. I'm not entirely sure what's causing this but I am no longer able to re-configure the VM settings since the previous configurations. I've rebooted the unRaid host, still the issue persists. I am not seeing any errors in logs that would indicate such issue. Edit: Appears to be a one of the installed plugins. Issue no longer persists after removing.

  3. Your basic premise has been well addressed in the other posts, but I wanted to clarify this specific point. Unless you have a hardware based RAID controller built in to your motherboard, which very few do, then a motherboard hosted RAID1 is software as well, and likely not supported in Unraid as it is driver based. The performance would be no better, even if the driver was available. I've only seen hardware RAID controllers on a very few high end workstation and a few server boards. It's pretty uncommon, and the boards tend to be VERY pricey.

  4. Personally, I prefer development on production systems. Forces me to make damn well sure that zero data loss can occur.

  5. Your CPU pinning looks fine for me. You have choosen 8-15 in the GUI and thats what is in the XML "cpuset=8-15". <cputune> <vcpupin vcpu='0' cpuset='8'/> <vcpupin vcpu='1' cpuset='9'/> <vcpupin vcpu='2' cpuset='10'/> <vcpupin vcpu='3' cpuset='11'/> <vcpupin vcpu='4' cpuset='12'/> <vcpupin vcpu='5' cpuset='13'/> <vcpupin vcpu='6' cpuset='14'/> <vcpupin vcpu='7' cpuset='15'/> </cputune> Try swaping your sound cards so that the Nvidia one is the first one. I'm not sure if that fixes the sound issue for you, but i always set the first sound card to the one from the GPU and the second to the onboard device. Never noticed that someone did it the order you do.

  6. yup, I had to make the regex a bit more strict so it wouldn't get confused by that.

  7. I think I see what the issue is. I published a fix to our codebase and it'll be in the next release.

  8. I am currently upgrading my main unRAID server and decided to go with the Corsair 450 Watt SFX PSU (over the Silverstone 450 Watt SFX PSU) replacing my Corsair CX430 to provide a bit more room and better airflow. Anyone who is planning on using this PSU in the Lian-Li PC-Q25 case should have at least two 4-pin molex extenders handy. Depending on your motherboard and the number of fan headers it has, one extender with a 3 or 4-pin fan connector included will also come in handy. The modular cables on the Corsair SFX PSU are very short; especially the 4-pin molex cable. The PC-Q25 needs 3 for the 5-HDD hot-swap bay. The PSU cable has four molex connectors, but, the first does not reach anything on the backside of the drive bay. With the three others, one will be short. I used a molex extender (they can be short; three inches is fine) on the second connector to plug into the top molex on the drive bay. The third cable connector reached the second molex on the drive bay without an extender. I used a second molex extender with a fan header to connect to the bottom molex on the drive bay and to connect one of the case fans. You may need only one extender depending on your MB and fan configuration, but, it wouldn't hurt to have two on hand.
