  1. Hi Guys been thinking about how to get sonarr and radarr to auto re-encode downloads automatically using handbrake. There will be 2 parts to this and i will post the next under this one in a few days time. This video the first part shows how to automatically re-encode video files downloaded by sonarr or radarr using an advanced docker path mapping sending the media files through handbrake first before then being processed by sonarr/radarr. I use h265 as i want smaller video files but any format can be choosen. This first part goes through the principles of how this works. The second video will go deeper using detailed examples. It is recommended to watch this video first. PART ONE PART 2

  2. Looks like you also have some trouble with cache which is why your dockers have gone missing.

  3. Whatever you do DON'T agree to format anything. This isn't especially unique though, we even have a wiki for it. You just need to repair the filesystem. https://wiki.unraid.net/Check_Disk_Filesystems

  4. I think the DB is the only thing you need. I also read a post in Plex that you repair, and since I didn't have to take that route I'm not sure how easy or complicated can be. Here is the link https://support.plex.tv/articles/201100678-repair-a-corrupt-database/

  6. There's a fast script written by the plugin's author included in the package. It's all self-contained and currently it works well. I've used it on a number of disks since Unraid 6.6.5 was released - just one at a time, in my case. The older scripts can be used instead but they need patching, which is a nuisance. Unless you particularly need an old script you might as well use the built-in one.

  7. Thankyou so much! Changing to fixed IP has done the trick, for shit and giggles i used the same IP. Now i know it works, i can work backwards and change the IP to something i want. Again, appreciate all your help Cheers

  8. In general no, there's no problem mixing SAS and SATA drives in the same controller and/or expander.

  9. https://mdarkness1988.github.io/Rust-Server/ https://github.com/mdarkness1988/Rust-Server/issues/4 For future reference when downloading a docker below it. It will say "support thread" or something and usually point to all the info you require. Also I realize it doesn't answer all your questions but hopefully it will get you started a little.

  10. Hey, a bit late to the party, sorry. Yeah I had the same experience once, so i read up on it and asked some security dudes at work, they gave me a crash course. A good mindset (for interwebs stuff specifically:)) is to always assume a vulnerability exists, you are never safe, regardless of what you do. 🐱‍👤 In my mind i would say you're in a good spot (or as a good spot you can get) regarding how you've setup your system for remote access. I would do the same, I'm just going to use a reverse dns as well, just think the available duckdns domains are boring . But this will not increase security by any measure. Its just an A-record for my own domain that points to the registered duckdns-domain, as IPs are not likely to change much when i get my fibre at the end of the year.

  11. There's a current issue with 6.6.5 where if a cron job is scheduled to happen on a Sunday, then it will wind up happening every day Switch it to be a Saturday instead Far, far easier to post diagnostics for us to look at.

  12. It is a Boot Option on the Unraid boot menu. As I understand it, it will not work with ECC memory. And, it will not boot if your are using a UEFI boot. You can download a newer version from here that will boot under UEFI: https://www.memtest86.com/download.htm Try the boot option first. in either case, you will need a monitor and keyboard attached to your server.

  13. There are certain containers I do not wish to always update due to either their risk of breakage or required uptime. A good example is TVheadend which is known for breaking and updating turns of home TVs. Currently the only way i know to not update this container is to stop using the "update all" feature and manually update each remaining containers manually one by one. This is a chore and ideally specific containers could be excluded from "update all" or set to to only update every xx days/weeks.

Firmware is still P20.00.07.00 Corrections for EFI environment. Untested due to missing hardware. Post your experience in the forum. https://www.mediafire.com/?py9c1w5u56xytw2 MD5: t.b.d. If you experience the "failed to initialize PAL" error somewhere in step 5, you have to boot from UEFI shell and try again or use another mainboard. See here how to use UEFI shell (Kudos 2 Maglin). Make sure you read and understand the __READMEFIRST.txt before starting! If you experience troubles or something is not clear, don't hesitate to ask for help. You can help improving the howto by doing so. Chances are small but you can brick the controller!
