  1. Thanks @konaboy. I got it working. Early on in my build I checked the box to make the iGPU available to VMs on the IOMMU Groups page. I never created any VMs so I forgot about it. 🤪 Cleared this and GPU is passing through to the docker containers now.

  2. Hey guys, just wanted to say a huge thanks for putting @GilbN and I in the top 3 yesterday on the entire forum. Never thought that would happen. We really appreciate it! (wipes away small tears...) 😅

  3. Would it be possible to implement SR-IOV into Unraid? I specifically want it for SMB Direct, but there are other applications for it like using a single gpu for multiple vms.

  4. I know they are still very new but I am wondering if anyone has info on the various trx40 boards and their compatability with unraid and hardware pass through, iommu groupings and such. I am currently looking at the asrock trx40 creator, or the msi creator trx. I already have all the other parts for my upgrade including the 3960x, but it seems the mobo is the hardest part to decide on, and find. Leaning toward the asrock because I believe that was a board that level1 had good luck with the iommu grouping in the past, but for the price difference I would also like that 4 x nvme to pcie card.

  5. So version 1.3 has been peer-reviewed by @GilbN (thanks!). Needless to say, there is A LOT of code to merge before I can release it. I'll start working on this later tonight. Plan is to have this released by the end of weekend for you guys to enjoy.

  6. Pfsense in an in a 1u supermicro rack server with an 8-core Xeon, 32GB ram and an SSD. Just a little bit overkill. Will probably install proxmox or something similar at one point to be able to test other firewalls.

  7. I was using rm with the 'find' command to purge aged files in the recycle bin. I've changed it now because it seems that 'rm -rf' removes too much and removes files that haven't been aged. I switched to using the -delete switch with 'find' which doesn't exhibit the same behavour. He was just explaining how the use of 'rm -rf; with 'find' was potentially causing some problems. I was able to duplicate the issue he was explaining.

  8. The BIOS is set to to automatically start when power is on, but it never worked. In the rare instance when we lose power I would have to manually start the computer, prior to having the UPS, this time with the UPS it started up when power was restored. I don't really care how or why, the important thing is it powered down when it was supposed to.

  14. If the kernel mod is in the Kernel it should be no problem, but I've not read the entire thread since my time is very very limited at the moment. Try to make a custom/manual build and replace the step 'make oldconfig' with 'make menuconfig' or you could also inject it into the '.config' file like I do it with the DVB modules. Please keep in mind that you have to do this by hand since make menuconfig will open up a menu with all the available modules (don't forget to save it after you finished all...

  17. Correct, Turn off UPS is set to YES. Perhaps it is a firmware issue with the smaller UPS? That is a guess, but it makes sense. I have no idea, but in this instance it worked as expected.

  22. Please note that this container is marked as BETA and it's running through WINE! ConanExiles has no dedicated Linux server, only a Windows version is available and the only possibility to run it, more or less good, is through WINE. Note that WINE can add addtional latency and also can cause much overhaed, can't do anything about that sorry. EDIT: But I think it should be playable with a ping fo 250ms...

  23. if i delete a file from my mount_mergerfs folder, i see the change in my google drive within afew seconds. Check the folder activity on the right side. Also you can "rename" a file locally, then see which encrypted name changes in your drive. Then rename it back or delete knowing you have identified the correct file/folder

  26. Hello, I have just followed these two guides; https://technicalramblings.com/blog/cloudflare-fail2ban-integration-with-automated-set_real_ip_from-in-nginx/ & https://technicalramblings.com/blog/blocking-countries-with-geolite2-using-the-letsencrypt-docker-container/ Almost everything seems to be going fine, with no errors that I haven't been able to fix with all the support on this forum. I say almost, as when I try a VPN and connect to my server via another country, I'm still able to get through, I'm not blocked and the access is reported as the same as my "non-VPN" attempts in the logs? I've registered with MAXMIND, entered the key and downloaded the GeoLite2.mmdb file, ensuring that it is saved in the right location. On a side note, sendmail-whois.local still needs some amendment by me, however I wanted to focus on actually securing my site before I continued attempts with notification. I've attached four screenshots below of the amendments I've made to the various config files within SWAG, in the hopes someone can point out what I'm doing wrong. Excellent work by the way on this container, its impressive how much work has gone in to it, including the SWAG support page. In the meantime I'll continue to read through this forum for tips, I'm up to page 19 so far. Regards. Here is the current reported state of my jail list (if it helps); ***Edit - Whilst I'm trying to get to the bottom of my above problem I wanted to ask yourselves (@linuxserver.io @saarg @aptalca @CHBMB) a question as you clearly know what you are talking about (I'm up to page 72 of this thread, so much useful information!) What router would you recommend that works best with SWAG in a home setting? Pfsense or Ubiquiti? Apologies if this should be on its own thread, I just thought I would tag it on to my question above as my number one requirement of a new router will be that it fully supports and compliments SWAG.

  27. Messing with some new disk stats on my personal build within the "Overwatch" section. Added: Array Storage Utilized % Cache Storage Utilized Amount Cache Storage Utilized % Changed: Made Up-time Clock Transparent Placed the Disk Utilization Panels At the Very Top (The first thing data hoarders want to know is how much space they have...) Alt Option: Place Them Above Array Growth Charts? Moved the RAM Meters Down and Now Side By Side Let me know if you guys like these new panels/layout and your thoughts on the colors (you can change them to whatever you want on your side). I'll probably add these three new panels to version 1.3 before it gets released. Before: After: After Alt Option (I may actually like this one the best LOL):

  28. So do you ever need to access a vdisk but dont want to , or cant start the vm. Well we can using qemu-nbd. This video shows how to use that and mount a vdisk. Also see how to fix ntfs disks when not 'clean' and so set to read only. Happen when vm not shutdown correctly. Also in the video there are some scripts which will mount and unmount the vdisks very easily. hope some of you out there find it useful

  29. Hi Guys So I’ve finally started using rclone mount again after several years with only doing weekly scripted backups. This prompted me to give the plugin a bit of an overhaul to fix some of my own long-standing nuisances with the plugin. Gone are the default scripts and the script editor (You should really use UserScripts for all your script needs). The config file can still be edited. The settings page has been overhauled and i intend to deprecate the beta branch of the plugin for this new unified model. You are now able to change branch at will in the settings page as well as update rclone if a new version is available. Current version as well as newest version will now be shown in the settings page. If you want to check it out you can install/update the plugin manually by inserting THIS URL in the plugins/install plugin settings menu. It's a drop in replacement for the stable branch. Whenever this version has proven itself without any major bugs i will merge it with the master branch and deprecate the beta branch. @Stupifier @DZMM if you get the chance please test out the new version and see if there's any glaring bugs I’ve missed. Edit: A picture to show the new settings page

  30. Just wanted to report that I was able to pre-clear two Seagate ST10000NM0086 drives at the same time. It took 48h15m each with the -f option. My CPU (Intel Core i3 9100 on an Asus WS C246M Pro/SE and 16GB of ECC DDR4 2400) was constantly at 100% during the writing process. Anyway, good work!

  31. @johnny2678, I was able to get it working - You don't mention whether you are on the Beta Unraid. You need to be on the 6.9.0 beta to have /dev/dri show up with the 10th gen CPUs.... Assuming you are, here's what I'm running with, which is just a little diff from what you have. Go file: #!/bin/bash #enable module for iGPU and perms for the render device modprobe i915 sleep 4 chown -R nobody:users /dev/dri chmod -R 777 /dev/dri # Start the Management Utility /usr/local/sbin/emhttp & Syslinux pertinant line (I only have this setup for regular boot, non gui mode, but shouldn't matter) append kvm-intel.nested=1 pcie_acs_override=downstream,multifunction initrd=/bzroot You don't need the "i915.alpha_support=1" - although it shouldn't make a difference either way. For bios - try also plugging in a monitor if you haven't already, and turning that on prior to boot.... Just another thing you can try. Edit: added full Go file, to avoid confusion

  33. 可能我的网络也是中国移动的网络的原因 参考https://ocasis.cn/1070.html 参考 @Issacc 大佬的这篇文章 :加速Unraid插件商店安装速度https://www.issacc.top/archives/unraid-docker-accelerate.html 在UNRAID命令行中输入 cd /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/community.applications/include 按回车,然后再输入 ls 按回车,在显示的文件列表中,可以找到 paths.php 这个文件 接下来,我们要修改这个文件的内容 继续再命令行输入 cp paths.php paths_bak.php 按回车,目的是给这个文件复制一下,做个备份 然后输入 vi paths.php 再按Shift + : 然后输入 %d 按回车,会发现 paths.php 这个文件的内容被我们清空了 我们去 @Issacc 的文章中,复制他提供的 <?PHP ############################################################### # # # Community Applications copyright 2015-2020, Andrew Zawadzki # # Licenced under the terms of GNU GPLv2 # # # ############################################################### $CA = "community.applications"; $caPaths['tempFiles'] = "/tmp/$CA/tempFiles"; /* path to temporary files */ $caPaths['flashDrive'] = "/boot/config/plugins/$CA"; $caPaths['templates-community'] = $caPaths['tempFiles']."/templates-community-apps"; /* templates and temporary files stored here. 34. So, bit of an update here. The Zotac P106-90 Card just arrived. (Looks like crap, but might still work.) For $30 on eBay, worth the shot. I might be able to do something with a "folding" computational machine, if nothing else. And if it's a working card, and I can't do anything with it, back on eBay it goes at a really good price. (shrug) Hardly a loss when I think about it- as I will have learned something. Reminder: My goal is PLEX Transcoding within a Docker using the NVIDIA port of unRAID; not to run a gaming Windows 10 VM. (Sorry if that disappoints, but hey... these are my priorities.) And yes, I've seen the LTT discussion, and the potentials for unlocking the NVENC hardware decoder. Still working my way through some of those posts on REDDIT, and none of them actually gave it a "fair shot" on linux imho. And considering all risks involved, that's maybe not a huge thing. If I do this, it's going to be on tested on a rig I have with a unRAID 30-day trial license first. Not going to risk my main system on this "thing" (yet.) If I do get it to work, my goal is going to be testing PLEX with H.265 NVENC for some 4K files, and see what happens. Heck, to be honest, I really just want a few streams of 1080p to be cast to some TVs on gigabit lan set up, and maybe speed up some other offerings like the BOINC protein folding for nCOVID-19 project. It's probably going to be 30-60 days before I get any real results, so be patient. (Just got news that I am moving to a rental house for a year while we do a major home reno! So I get to move all my LAN and Server gear... so - Press [F] to pay Respect! to my bank account... ow.)

  35. Did you install the Unraid-Nvidia plugin, install an Nvidia build through the plugin settings, then reboot your UnRAID? Without doing this, you don't have the nvidia-smi utility which will cause that error.

  36. Wow what a great community so many replies in a day! So I can see most of you have replied to connect directly - believe me if I could move my desk next to my router I would have done it so far but it is just impossible due to the layout of the apartment, and I can't move my router as I will need to extend the LAN cable that is the "uplink" so I will still have a cable running through the apartment. But Zonediver gave me the best idea - I will just buy an AP and use it as media converter from Wireless to LAN and I think this will solve my issue Thank you all for you ideas!
