  2. I try to avoid tagging people, sometimes tagging somebody can have the complete opposite effect to what was desired! 😛 It's just an observation, not just from my posts, but other peoples posts as well and the appearance it gives to people visiting the forum, especially if they happen to be prospective users. As an aside, there's also the issue of issue reports, I've mentioned many times that the setting for the VNC port should be in the GUI because as it stands if you change it in the XML and then suseqently make a change in the GUI it gets lost, I'm forever chasing my

  3. I think the reality of it is that the user to user based support on the forum is so thorough that the actual paid staff really don't poke around much unless summoned. If you need to talk to somebody other than all us volunteers, then either email support, or page one of the Administrators like @SpencerJ or @jonp. I get that you shouldn't have to do that in an ideal world, and one of the paid staff would read every post and respond if one of us volunteers doesn't have a good answer, but so far the volunteers cover things rather well so the paid staff don't react very quickly unless

  9. I think you are talking about Unraid 6.9.0? Don't know if AMD GPU's are supported in the container from Linuxserver, basically you can install whatever container you like. To make this work you need actually the "drivers" in the container and the "modules" enabled on the host (Unraid). You can only use this container and make use of your AMD GPU if you install Unraid 6.9.0RC2 otherwise you are stuck with CPU encoding. From my perspective 6.9.0RC2 is really stable (I run it since it was released and had not one crash or any weird behavior) and it is safe to in

  12. Exactly this plugin installs only the Mellanox Firmware Tools (to flash the card or switch between modes) and is not a driver but the Mellanox ConnectX-3 should work just fine OOB in Unraid, even a ConnectX-2 is working fine OOB (had both of them). Eventually try to delete the 'network.cfg' from your '/boot/config' directory and start over with a new netwrok configuration) Here is a screenshot from my card that is working just fine:

  15. @sonic6 I've made a script that will check every 10 seconds if the `passthroughvpn` container did restart. If it did restart, it will restart all containers that are routed through it. To install this script: In Unraid, go to the Apps section and install "CA User Scripts" from Squid Open the terminal in Unraid and run the following 3 commands: mkdir -p /boot/config/plugins/user.scripts/scripts/passthrough_restart echo 'This script will check if the passthroughvpn container has restarted and restart the passed through containers' > /boot/config/plugins/user.s

  16. Thats exactly what I'm doing. You're brilliant! I was using the web client (multiple times on one pc) to run multiple streams for testing transcoding and I was forcing the quality change. I wanted to test the not only that it was transcoding but that it was running more than 2 concurrent sessions. I just got to work so I can't test until much later tonight but thank you so much. EDIT: I would like to confirm that was my problem and my transcoding was been fine the whole time. The way I was testing it was wrong. LOL? More sad than funny but thank you!

  21. I guess this is not the right thread for questions like this, but as far as I know there is no way to join a Valheim server with a domain. The only way is to add it as a favorite server in steam but then the resolved IP will show anyway.

The very helpful "archived notification menu" can be found from: webui > tools > archived notifications You can then click on a notification, and it will give you further details, as per extrobe's "NOK" paste.. 28. I figured out the original issue... The problem was with this script that I was using to replicate one server to another.... Once I edited the GO file back to normal and rebooted, I was able to access my shares. Still can't gracefully shutdown or reboot either server, but I can at least stop the array and power down mechanically.

  30. Unraid IS NOT RAID. There is no striping. Each disk is an independent filesystem. Each file exists completely on a single disk. Folders can span disks, this is known as User Shares. There is also a parity disk which provides redundancy so a missing disk can be recreated from reading all other disks. This makes Unraid slower than striped RAID, but it also makes it possible to use different sized disks in the array, disks not being used can be spun down, and since each data disk is an independent filesystem, they can be read by themselves on any linux. Reading is at the s

  31. This could be the case, but likely only if the power supply because of age has lost its ability to deliver sufficient power. According to Nvidia a GTX 1650 requires about 100 watts and the recommended minimum power supply is only 350 Watts. I read on a benchmarking site that a GTX 1650 under a constant Furmark load may draw up to 200 Watts. On the surface it would appear that a 750 W power supply should be more than sufficient. You may want to enter your server specs (CPU, motherboard, drives, GPU, etc.) into a PSU calculator to see what it recommends. I h

  32. I could be wrong, but IIRC Unraid is based on Slackware. The delayed release of 6.9 may have something to do with this magical announcement : https://www.itsfoss.net/slackware-linux-15-0-alpha1-release/ This is pure speculation on my part. I'm super happy and excited to see my first Linux distro is still alive and well! Thank you Slackware for being such an amazing distro over the years!

I didn't know that about the docker page, but I do have (and have had preivously) kept it in basic view - thanks for the info! I'll keep my eye on CPU usage when I go to the dashboard page, but I don't think I'll be visiting as frequently until it's resolved. Thanks again!

  35. I agree with itimpi, there is something changing the permission. Maybe even something outside of the server. Your first goal shall be to find what is doing this. Since your first attempts were not successful, in your situation, I would deactivate every plugin, script, docker and VM and let the system it run for a time as a basic NAS. If the issue persists, either something is misconfigured on the base of Unraid or something outside of the server is accessing files and changing their permission. If the issue is not present then, add one element at a time, let i

  36. Developer / Maintainer Profiles CA supports developer profiles. This allows a user to look at and compare the developers who are creating / supporting the various containers / plugins. In order to take advantage of this, create a file within your template repositories called ca_profile.xml Whenever a user selects the "Repositories" section, preference (ie: the first ones in the list) are given to authors who have filled out the profile. For most developers, the profile would be something akin to: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <

Open Unraid web interface and open a new web terminal window by clicking the 6th icon from the right, at the top right of the interface ( or SSH in to your unraid box) 3.
