  1. Was lange währt, wird endlich gut.

  3. Works just fine in my Debian Bullseye container, but I recommend doing it with my Debian Buster container: Of course you have to install python3, all dependencies manually and afterwards install tartube with dpgk (to gain root privileges in my container you have to type in "su" and then the specified password for your root user). Since tartube creates a directory for all the files in ~/.config/tartube, the config from tartube is persistant. The only thing that I would do is to create a user.sh like @Ford Prefect mentioned above so that the container checks on every start/restart if tartube is actually installed and the needed dependencies. You can of course add another directory to the template where you store your downloads from YT. Looks like it's working perfectly fine:

  4. ...looks like there is no docker available anywhere. The App comes in a .deb flavour, so you should be able to install it in a GUI Docker. Did you try the Debian Buster from @ich777? You should be able to download und and install the "tartube.deb" semi-automatic with a user.sh script every time the docker starts, as per the hint/instructions given in the docker, see: If you want to install some other application you can do that by creating a user.sh and mounting it to the container to /opt/scripts/user.sh (a standard bash script should do the trick). [...] Storage Note: All things that are saved in the container should be in the home or a subdirectory in your homefolder, all files that are store outside your homefolder are not persistant and will be wiped if there is an update of the container or you change something in the template. just get you to see, that the path where tartube stores its config is mapped somewhere. outside, like /mnt/user/appdata/tartube....this should give you a start.

  6. I ran across an article whose author claimed that on recent versions of qemu, discard=unmap was functional on virtio disks. So I did some testing. I have not run all permutations, but have tested: Unraid 6.9.2 UEFI and Seabios VMs Q35-5.1 and i440fx-5.1 VMs Windows 10 and Windows 11 with the latest virtio drivers, virtio-win-0.1.196.iso Ubuntu 21.4 raw and qcow2 vdisks vdisks on XFS and BTRFS disks vdisks with and without the copy-on-write attribute set In all cases, the virtio disk was functionally equivalent to a virtio-scsi disk. On file deletion, windows unmapped blocks immediately. Linux unmapped blocks after running fstrim. https://chrisirwin.ca/posts/discard-with-kvm-2020

  10. If you can get to the console then you can also generate the diagnostics using the ‘diagnostics’ command and they get put into the ‘logs’ folder on the flash drive. don’t enable the auto-start as it is probably a good idea to have it off while investigating any issue. I just wanted to make sure it was intentional.

  11. The problem report for Polish seems to be the standard GUI pause functionality and nothing to do with the plugin? I will look into seeing if I can spot what might be wrong with the French translation file not appearing to work.

  15. I leave some containers long at a Beta state because they never fell really finished to me... You can safely use it, I use it on a daily basis and also have writen many containers and plugins in it... I think so, I'm not really familiar how this application works. Buster = Debian 10 based | Bullseye = Debian 11 based (since it's not really released it's really a beta, from what I know the official release is on 18th August)

  19. OK so after a few days I can confirm everything is still running as expected which is fantastic. One thing I did notice, is that running the scheduled job using User Scripts meant that snapshots weren't working correctly - the old ones weren't being deleted. However within the container the scheduled tasks all execute AND take care of removing old snapshots which is ideal. Anyway, I'm just glad it's all working after a few days

  20. So fortunately, it seems that resetting the BIOS does it for me, so I have marked this issue as solved. Thanks all for the help.

  21. Not that I have seen, a lot of them barely work with the regular program lol. I am running windows right now and don't have the time to build dockers for each of them. If they all had dockers ready to go I would consider the time to swap to linux but as it is, it would take too much time.

  22. That is a good sign - no mention of corruptions of a sort that might lead to data loss. If you run again without the -n and adding the -L option I would expect that when you restart in normal mode all the content of the drive will be accessible.

  23. i would agree, def looks like a showstopper plex bug, be nice if they tested a bit more eh!. ok if you cant wait for the fix and want to get going again then please roll back, instructions here Q5:- https://github.com/binhex/documentation/blob/master/docker/faq/unraid.md

  24. thanks i was able to replicate the issue, i have fixed the problem so please pull down the image by doing a force update, please note you may still have to remove '/config/home/.MakeMKV' folder and then restart the container, after that you should be good.

  27. your options are set host path to /mnt/user for /media and then reference /media/<name of share> in the app, or define multiple paths e.g.:- host path /mnt/user/Movies goes to container path /movies host path /mnt/user/TV goes to container path /tv host path /mnt/user/Photos goes to container path /photos then add in /movies, /tv, and /photos to the app.

  29. Notice you try a solution to manual mount disks by filesystem fsid, pls keep going. If this route not success, then you may try flash the enclosure by different firmware route. Several years ago, I buy two 5 bays Orico non-raid USB enclosure for Unraid, they use JMS539 or JMS567. In first test, both never pass reliability test whatever different USB controller or OS, it also not fully work with Unraid. After months fighting, I finally fix the JMS567 one by flash different brand firmware ( also JMS567 ) and insert a VIA USB hub between them, then Unraid ( also other OS ) solidly work, this serve me 1yrs+. - Unraid array or UD, work. - SMART data read, work. - Spinup / down partially work. First check does USB ID: 152d:0567 Below are the example RAID enclosure, also use similar chipset https://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?area=en&pid=425 ** Take risk yourself ** The firmware which I use as below, only flash JMS567. https://www.startech.com/en-us/hdd/s355bu33erm#driver-and-downloads Don't touch SATA Port Multiplier JMB575 ( I never touch that, but just note silverstone have Port Multiplier chips firmware for JMB394 )

  33. Interesting. When I was running the setup listed below, my power consumption was as low as 60W idle, with disks spun down. 35.

  36. to clarify on this. 2.* You don't exactly need linux mint most debian distros should work. basically if you can install .deb package then it works. 4.* (to install if gui doesn't work then command for installing is `sudo dpkg -i hpssacli-2.10-14.0_amd64.deb` 6.* Make sure you're the root user or else you won't be able to able to execute commands. instead of `./hpssacli` run `sudo ./hpssacli` if you're not the root user (as default user is not the root user for most debian distros now). 7.1 * Make sure you don't have any logical drives or else you won't be able to set it to hba mode. you can check that by running `ctrl slot=0 ld 2 show` it should say `Error: the specified device does not have any logical drive`. If it shows any logical drives the easiest solution is to just unplug those drives before booting into os before enabling hbamode

  42. No. You can get the container sizes right from the docker tab (Container Size button) to see which app is taking up which space (not quite 100% accurate, but will give a good idea)

  43. This worked for me thanks @ljm42 for anyone else using pfsense and the builtin DNS resolver, this can be found under Services -> DNS Resolver and near the bottom you will see a text window for Custom Options. Just add a new line with the entry as @ljm42 suggested:
    1 point
  44. pfsense has DNS Rebinding on by default, that prevents you from getting a local IP address when you do a lookup on yourpersonalhash.unraid.net You need to disable DNS Rebinding in pfsense for the unraid.net domain. I don't have a lot of experience for this, but if you turn on help for the Settings -> Management Access page it says: pfSense: If you are using pfSense internal DNS resolver service, you can add these Custom Option lines: server: private-domain: "unraid.net"

  46. Hi, I have the same probs with that. Unraid 6.8.3. All Vm´s that switched from or to GPU Passthrough to VNC back have the problems. I find out that after switching the Grafik output the "bus" from 0x00 chnaged to 0x07. With these settings the vms dosen´t work. After change the bus back to 0x00 the vm works fine. If the bus 0x00 is occupied, change the slot to 2 or 3. Sorry for my bad english :-) <model type='qxl' ram='65536' vram='65536' vgamem='16384' heads='1' primary='yes'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x01' function='0x0'/>

  48. The following two commands worked perfect for me. The only change I made is to output to a raw format as that was my desire for this workload. $ tar xvf MyAppliance.ova $ qemu-img convert -O raw MyAppliance-disk1.vmdk MyAppliance.img I had need to boot an appliance that is only offered through an OVA format. Decompressed and converted the image with the commands above (using the proper names of course), then created a VM assigning no disks to it through the regular setup process, but editing other hardware as required. After that, I created the directory for the VM disk in my desired location and moved the converted raw image disk file over. I then edited the XML and added the disk using the following syntax, again, referencing the proper file names that I had chosen. <disk type='file' device='disk'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw' cache='writeback'/> <source file='/mnt/user/vms/MyApplianceName/vdisk1.img'/> <target dev='hdc' bus='virtio'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x05' function='0x0'/> </disk> Booted perfectly and seems to be working great. Thanks for getting me started with this thread! Hopefully this helps others as well.
