  1. I disagree. Recently since my last upgrade to a private beta release one of the lights on my garage door opener has started flickering. I refuse to believe that it's a coincidence.

  2. Hey all, Pretty proud of my first Unraid machine. Finally have it to a "finished" state. I wanted to share some good photos but I'm no photographer. I scored all 10 14TB HDD's from shucking Seagate external drives a few months ago, before the price boom, so $225 apiece. Hoping price comes back down because I have space for a few more. I'm still in the learning phase but I have set up OpenVPN, Nextcloud with reverse proxy, Plex, Windows 10 VM, and Ubuntu VM. Running headless for now until I have a need for a GPU assuming they come down to MSRP. I have a 10Gbps card in this and my regular PC, so they're directly connected without a switch. All-in cost right now is north of $5k, but I am also interested in upgrading to a Ryzen 5900/5950x when those are available at MSRP also. Before anyone gets concerned, the drive power lines are not all chained together.

  3. Not sure where to post this but man this unRaid stuff just WORKS, rock solid. Almost a year now with two installs and they're both absolutely ROCK SOLID. Love the simplicity and stability of this setup. I would say money well spent. Keep up the good work gents.

  7. It really depends on the storage requirements and the amount of time you will be seeding. My current setup uses 2 x 512GB nvme for cache and that takes care of the active downloads pretty well to reduce wear and the mover is going to push that data to the array. If your high water is set up ok, there should only be a couple of drives that are accessed until you hit your seed ratio. But if hitting the seed ratio taking too long then the files could be spread all across the array. Not sure there is a single solution that is going to work perfectly. You could force your downloads share onto a couple of disks dedicated for downloads in the array? Just thinking out loud.

  9. There are a couple of ways user shares can produce unexpected results. Not really a problem if you are aware of them. If you mix user shares and disks when moving/copying files, you can actually lose data, because Linux doesn't realize that the source path and the destination path might actually be the same file, and so tries to overwrite what it is trying to read. This is often referred to as the User Share Copy Bug. The Linux command for Move and Rename are the same, mv. So when you try to move files from one user share to another, Linux will often simply rename the files so they have a different path on the same disk, in violation of any user share settings such as included disks. The workaround for this is to copy from source to destination, so that new files get created following the user share settings, then deleting from the source.

  12. Hi.

  13. I fixed my error. It was actually due to the domain name from SWAG (previously letsencript). Logs were throwing the error: "nginx: [emerg] "proxy_redirect" directive is duplicate in /config/nginx/proxy-confs/youtube-dl.subfolder.conf:22", which was solved by deleting that file. I guess SWAG was not even starting because of that error so custom domain names do not work. Hopefully this helps someone.

  14. Yeah sounds like you're only a month or two behind me, as I had no idea either. It's dead simple to set up. One port needs to be plugged into your HBA card (doesn't matter which port), and then all the other ports are free ports for 4x HDDs. So with one HBA and two expanders, you could connect 40 drives to the same PCIe slot. Here is the link to the expander card I bought from eBay. Another user gave me a tip that this guy will accept offers of $75, which is much lower than his listed price. It has a legit intel chip on it, though I'm not sure the card is genuine intel or some kind of OEM / grey market. I just drilled holes in my case and used brass standoffs to mount it, since I didn't want it rattling around and potentially shorting out.

  15. So I believe my issue was caused by cloudflare. The only solution I found was to bypass the cloudflare services for my calibre-web subdomain by selecting dns only (no proxy) for that address. The cloudflare proxy appears to be incompatible with the calibre-web authentication protocol. Found some help diagnosing the issue here...

  16. @Benjamin Picard yes, it's beta-ish. I will create another post for it, but did not have time. @newillusions helped me test it so far, and only the export doesn't work from v5, but there is a fix for that which I didn't have time yet to include into the Docker image yet. I will later tonight. For now it's not official in UnRAID, so to install it you have to add this url in Docker -> (Scroll down) -> Template Repositories and click Save: https://github.com/kiwimato/invoiceninja_v5 After that you should be able to click "ADD CONTAINER" and then select "invoiceninjav5" from the templates, and the rest should be pretty similar how to setup v4. You can find more info, including on how to migrate here: https://github.com/kiwimato/invoiceninja_v5/blob/master/UnRAID.md#upgrade-from-v4-to-v5 One thing worth mentioning for which I didn't find a solution yet, is that you HAVE to import the self signed certificate in your browser if you don't somehow use LetsEncrypt to have proper certificates. For some reason even if I acknowledged the SSL error in the browser, some requests simply failed due to the bad cert. I think it was Chrome, so it might work in other browsers. Also disabling SSL with `REQUIRE_HTTPS=false` didn't seem to work for me, but if you find a way, please let me know so we can update the documentation Feel free to PM if you have any questions or issues
