  1. I just had this issue -- previously I had used BitDefender on my VMs but some computers can't use BitDefender so for consistency I decided to switch the VMs to Avast. Completely killed the VM. The only way to fix it was to reset Windows which removed Avast and everything else. Solution is to just not use Avast. BitDefender works fine for me. I've never heard of anyone complaining about Avira either.
  2. I'm not at home right now but it was fairly simply from what I remember. In Sonarr do to Downloaders and add one. Call it Deluge for simplicity sakes Host is the ip of your unRaid machine Port is 8112-- assuming you didn't change it in the Deluge docket setup Password -- Deluge -- unless you changed it Category is just a way to add a label in Deluge -- I used tv-sonarr Couch Potato is pretty much the same
  3. This is what unRaid auto generates <vcpu placement='static'>10</vcpu> <cputune> <vcpupin vcpu='0' cpuset='11'/> <vcpupin vcpu='1' cpuset='12'/> <vcpupin vcpu='2' cpuset='13'/> <vcpupin vcpu='3' cpuset='14'/> <vcpupin vcpu='4' cpuset='15'/> <vcpupin vcpu='5' cpuset='27'/> <vcpupin vcpu='6' cpuset='28'/> <vcpupin vcpu='7' cpuset='29'/> <vcpupin vcpu='8' cpuset='30'/> <vcpupin vcpu='9' cpuset='31'/> </cputune> <resource> <partition>/machine</partition> </resource> <os> <type arch='x86_64' machine='pc-i440fx-2.3'>hvm</type> </os> <features> <acpi/> <apic/> </features> <cpu mode='host-passthrough'> <topology sockets='1' cores='5' threads='2'/> </cpu> but I think it needs to be changed. Before I do so would like confirmation as I have been having terrible luck with stuff breaking recently. I'd like to add <emulatorpin cpuset='0,16'/> and change topology to <topology sockets='1' cores='10' threads='1'/> Is that correct?
  4. If you don't need to meet a specific seed ratio then Sonarr and Couch Potato will delete them for you after they copy them. That is how I have my setup currently. I plan to test to see if setting a seed ratio keeps Sonarr and Couch Potato from moving the files until the ratio is met and Deluge releases them but I haven't had time to test that yet.
  5. I've had no issues in the past with VMs. Something went seriously wrong with my Windows 10 VM so I decided to start from scratch as it was an opportunity to switch from SeaBIOS to OVMF. When I try to make a VM all I get is a UEFI BIOS interface. It is like there is no install media even though I have selected some. Tried it with Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 and got the same outcome. This is my first attempt at a OVMF VM and also my first attempt at a new VM since upgrading to 6.2 Any suggestions?
  6. I'm a noob myself but since no one has responded in a few days I'll do my best. 1) You can pass-through any USB device plugged in to a port but the device will not be hot-swapable. 2) You can pass-through an entire controller in which case the USB ports will function like normal USB ports on the VM. If your motherboard has two controllers then you can pass-through the one that the unRaid USB is not on -- there is a topic explaining how to do this. The whole thing seemed much more complicated than just passing-through an entire card so I went with that which is what this topic addresses. 3) There is a plugin (haven't tested it yet but people like it) that allows you to make individual USB ports hot-swapable, Anyway that is the best I can offer -- I think it is correct but I'm pretty new at this myself.
  7. I have Noctua i4s -- not certain if they are D9DX as when I check my posts in this topic I just refer to them as i4s Assuming they are the same fans I can't hear them. In addition to the two Noctuas I've added three fans to the top of the case, one or two bottom fans, a back fan and a front fan, plus my graphics card has a fan and just yesterday I was switching out a USB card and had to specifically listen to hear if the machine was on -- the desktop I'm using right now makes more noise. If they are the same fans you need to clip them a little high because they touch the ram. If you go back to around March I posted pictures in this topic.
  8. It worked previously but if I have to I'll just buy something else. My initial thought was to just buy a USB 2 card but those are rather difficult to find.
  9. I have a Windows 10 VM with a ASMedia USB 3.1 card. Previously everything worked fine but since I upgraded to unRaid 6.2 I can no longer use USB 2 devices. environments). If someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Ideally I'd like to have USB 2 and USB 3 comparability but I'd accept a solution that reduces me to only USB 2. I never like to change two things at once but because of the issue last week with the update problem after I had just upgraded Windows 10 to the anniversary update and then couldn't reboot unRaid so ended up having to upgrade unRaid to 6.2 at same time. So I can't even be certain which of the two is the problem.
  10. Thanks. Interesting and scary read. My backups are on different subnets in different physical locations but if a Windows machine can browse to the shares it can get to them so I think I am going to add a third backup. I was thinking of doing something with the third backup only connects when it is backing up. I don't think that is actually necessary since it is part of a different network but it is easy to setup so why not?
  11. I'm still working on a backup plan but this is the general outline so far. 1) Media -- just relying on unRaid having the one disk failure tolerance. 2) Essential Stuff -- Crashplan backs up office stuff to Home unRaid and home stuff to the unRaid machine at the office -- thinking of adding a third version. If I add a third version it would be to a computer on its own network at home with absolutely nothing else on it. The home and office networks are connected by a site-to-site VPN and I don't know if all this talk about ransom-ware propagating across networks is just hype/paranoia or an actual threat. 3) Windows machines (physical and VMs) -- all the user files including desktop have had their destinations changed to folders on the local unRaid. Those folders get backed up as part of the essential stuff backups so restoring is just doing a clean reinstall of all the software. Next time I need to do a clean install I'll start making a snapshot / image of the clean brand new system install but I'm not sure how much time that would save over just a clean install. Stuff I need to figure out still 1) Websites with databases -- currently rely on hosting service to back up with shared hosting but will be moving to unmanaged VPS in the next couple of weeks so need a way to back those up to unRaid -- preferably automated and with versioning. 2) Linux VMs -- two of them. One is my development machine where i work on stuff before deploying on live sites and the second is a internal webserver where I run a web-based CRM/ERP I'm developing that basically will eventually have all the essential business data. 3) PostgreSQL database that is currently the only thing that is not out of the box software on two windows machines. The two machines independently maintain their own copies and all the data required to rebuild the database in a few hours is backed-up but I'd prefer a solution where there is one database only (sync issues) used by two computers so thinking the Postgre docker. 4) Android devices -- phones and tablets -- currently nothing but I should at least consider something for photos on my phone.

  13. This is an add-on card and I'm passing the entire card through and it is the only device in the group 04:00.0 USB controller [0c03]: ASMedia Technology Inc. With the graphics card there are two items in the group -- the graphics card itself and the on-board sound card that I don't use. Do I need to stub both of them since they are part of the same iommu group? Currently I don't pass-through the on-board sound card -- should I?
  14. I haven't ordered it but was going to. You can get it on ebay for like $10 or something. I don't have the link handy but if you can't find it I'll look it up as I saved it with the intent of ordering it. Probably still will.
  15. I have that exact issue so good to know stubbing might fix that. Since upgrading to 6.2 my USB card only recognize USB 3.0 devices. It used to recognize older USB devices as it should. Hopefully when I stub it that will get fixed as well. Thank you for the response. I'll stub all three this evening.
  16. I have a VM that has a soundcard, USB card, and a graphics card. 17. If you have hardware that supports it you can bind the ports -- that way not only the docker but everything would be able to take advantage of the ports. You need a router that will supports 802.3ad Link Aggregation which most consumer routers don't but I have an entry level Cisco business router that does. The alternative would be to pass-through a port specifically for the docker. How to do that is beyond my ability so I can't help you but there are topics on how to pass-through other devices to a docker so I believe it should be possible. The process should be the same regardless of what device you are trying to pass so if you search for some of the topics on how to pass a USB port to a docker it should get you started.
  18. Actually it is passing though the USB card but only USB 3.0 devices -- any other USB devices don't work.
  19. I was passing a entire USB card through and it wasn't perfect (reboot would make it stop working until I rebooted entire unRaid twice) but now even with that annoying issue it just won't work since I upgraded to 6.2. 20. Having the same issue on one machine -- I assume the other one will be fine since I am on 6.2 If I'm reading this correctly this will require that I also upgrade to 6.2? Is 6.2 stable? 22. Most of the other ports are for related services -- DLNA, Ruko, Bonjour etc. There are some for network discovery 32410,324012,34214, and 32414. I dug up the list https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201543147-What-network-ports-do-I-need-to-allow-through-my-firewall-
  23. Your best bet may be to switch to using binhex's plex app, as his are 100% completely static and do not ever update themselves. You just have to add a tag after the repository when you add the container (ie it'll look something like binhex/plex:0.9.16.6.1993-1-02 Complete list of his tags are here: https://hub.docker.com/r/binhex/arch-plex/tags/ Alternatively you can set the VERSION environment variable (currently at latest) with lsio to a full version number of plex, but I'm not exactly sure how the updates work anymore with their plex app Thanks for the reply but I actually managed to fix figure out the problem and fix it by reading the release notes for Plex Server
  24. Have you found a solution to this yet? I spent a a few hours working on it yesterday and I don't think it is a docker issue -- my belief is that it is a firewall issue but I haven't figured out a solution yet. Are you using a firewall/UTM?
