  1. Thanks for the hint. I don't know why I didn't try that before, but finally that resolved my issue. The unraid server had a 24 bit net mask (for historical reason) while my network already has a 23 bit net mask. So the whole traffic went through the usg router which is only capable of 1g switching. Changing the net mask did the trick 🙈. What a dumb mistake...
  2. Hi, I am trying to upgrade my current unraid server with a 10 GBe NIC. It is an Intel X550T1. I disabled the onboard 1G NIC, so that the 10Gbe one is the only active NIC in the system. The Switch (USW-Flex-XG) shows a 10Gbit Link but I have only Gbit speed from the server. I am reading an writing to an 1TB Nvme cache from my MacBook Pro with an TB3 Sonnet Solo 10g . I also copied a file from the Mac to the server with 1Gb/s but the same file from the name cache the other way around with 100Mb/s. Here is what I get with Macbook as iperf3 Client And the other way around I only get this I tried the same with my desktop as iperf3 server and the unraid as client. Unfortunately the same results Does anyone has an idea what is limiting the speed or where I can look further? Thanks in advance Ingmar eon-diagnostics-20220131-2152.zip

  4. Hey, I am trying to install unassigned.devices-plus from https://github.com/dlandon/unassigned.devices/blob/master/unassigned.devices-plus.plg to access my exFat drives but the installation process failed with simple-xml parse errors (error log attached). Has anyone else had this issue or has any idea what I can do? Thx Ingmar error.txt

  6. Ok, thanks for your advice. Will try that first and I will post my results.
  7. Hi, I am currently experiencing btrfs errors on my cache drives and I am not sure what could be the reason for it. Additionally I have some strange behavior of my system and especially the dockers. Sometimes it seems that I have unusually high IO wait times. The cpu usage on the Dashboard is at 50-60%. Top shows nearly zero cpu usage but 60% wait. I seems that these events are correlating with the btrfs errors. Does anyone have some tips for me how to investigate these behaviors and errors? I did a full scrub of the cache this morning but it didn't find any errors... This is the result of Btrfs dev stats root@eon:~# btrfs dev stats /mnt/cache [/dev/sdd1].write_io_errs 2655 [/dev/sdd1].read_io_errs 2679 [/dev/sdd1].flush_io_errs 0 [/dev/sdd1].corruption_errs 0 [/dev/sdd1].generation_errs 0 [/dev/sde1].write_io_errs 1115 [/dev/sde1].read_io_errs 1861 [/dev/sde1].flush_io_errs 0 [/dev/sde1].corruption_errs 0 [/dev/sde1].generation_errs 0 eon-diagnostics-20200123-0851.zip
  8. Unfortunatly only mounting the share under macOS doesn't help. It still doesn't show up. Enabling AFP with TimeMachine set to YES works and the afp share shows up but afp is marked as deprecated and therefore smb would be the better solution... Anything I can try?
  9. Hi, I am using unraid for a while and I am quite happy with it. Currently we got a new macbook with Catalina and I want to use my unraid server as a time machine destination. Therefore I configured the corresponding share. It is mounted under macOS and accessible, but unfortunately it doesn't show up in the time machine configuration dialog. Here are the setttings of my share Do you have any ideas what I can do to make the share show up on macOS? best regards and greetings from Germany, Ingmar
