  1. I have a Windows 10 VM that I pinned 6 CPU/HTs. When under strain, it pegs a single CPU while using very little of the others. Where should I start looking to remedy this? Edit. Some pics in reply
  2. Yeah, but I am away from home right now LOL. Either I have to wait til I get home OR I have to depend on the wife actually following some directions LMAO. Not sure which will be harder
  3. Yeah Awesome. I am away from home, saw this and reset my password. Now I can not access my personal server running in Docker. UGH
  4. Yes it is still assessable. I was able to plug in a new External drive and see it under pre-clear and begin the preclear. I know it is not necessary anymore, but I like to run it on externals to find any issues prior to shucking
  5. @JonathanM Should Unassigned Devices not show anything during Parity Sync? I have an SSD I keep in unassigned devices and use as appdata for my plex. Seems to still be working, but can not see the drive on the GUI
  6. @JonathanMThanks for the advice. I will run a full parity check after the sync is complete. I am not in a rush to get this done, would rather it be done with zero issues lol
  7. I appreciate the advice. I shut it down, swapped the drives, and Parity Sync has begun. After it completes, I plan to remove one of the original 4tb drives and upgrade it with the 12tb I just took out and pick up another 14tb while still on sale and replace the other 4tb drive from the original install. Thanks Again Jonathan
  8. I currently have a 14tb and a 12tb for dual parity. I want to upgrade the 12tb to a new 14tb. I have a case with hot swap drive cage. Can I just stop the array, swap the 12tb for the 14tb, assign the new 14tb as a parity drive, then restart the array and let it rebuild? Is it really that simple?
  9. So you moved. Did you get a new router for your service, or use the same router you had in the old house? Reason I ask is that Plex requires an open port (32400) pointed to the server. Also, you can download a program call Advanced IP Scanner. Install and run from any PC on your network and you will see all of the devices within the specified range of IPs. Do you have a static IP assigned to the Unraid server? Router may not see it as it is not using DHCP
  10. Decided to just order a 14tb for 2nd parity drive, was only $10 more than the 12tb. Figure that is the easiest, most straight forward way to achieve what I want, and I get to use both 10tbs in the array
  11. Back Story..... My array currently is ... P=12T D1=4T D2=4T D3=6T D4=10T D5=12T (6T used) Ver 6.9.1 I just ordered 2 new 10T drives. I want to pull the D5 12T out of array, putting a 10T in its place, use the 12T as a 2nd parity, then add the 2nd new 10T Is this possible?
  12. With google home, i believe if your internet goes down, you lose ALL internal network connectivity because the actual routing is done in the cloud. I would dump the google routing and get yourself a router you can control. I believe you could still use the wifi mesh with your own router I personally use a dual wan router I have full control over, and pay for internet service from AT&T and Xfinity to ensure I have internet connection. Also if I disconnect both internet connections, my internal network including my unraid and security cameras is still 100% functional. I believe we as a society are depending on cloud based services WAY too much, and it is getting worse IMO
  13. When you say your network goes down, please explain what you mean. What router and switches are you using? Give us a rundown of your network.
  14. It still crashed after a day or so. Do you think I may be better off removing the Ryzen 3 3200G APU and putting in a newer Ryzen 5 3600?
  15. Each time it crashes it is a crap shoot as to if anything is logged. The log text I posted in the initial posting above from Feb 6 10:05:08 was the closest I have come to seeing why it is crashing. I will try booting into safe mode and go from there
  16. That is how I got the syslog. I had mirrored the log onto the flash drive for a while now and had not turned it off yet due to the issues I was having with crashing. What I do is start at the bottom and search for root@Develop with direction set to up to find the beginning of the boot cycle, then look just before that to see what happened. I just do not understand what I am seeing.
  17. Attaching my diagnostics file and newest log. It was crashed again this afternoon. Every time it crashes, seems to show something diff. I checked and memory seems to be running at 2133 even though they are 3200 modules. i read that clocking them down to 2400 was a good idea, but mine are naturally running at 2133 i guess Starting to regret using unraid tower-diagnostics-20210209-1655.zip syslog (12)
  18. So a couple weeks ago I was having issues with the server locking up and needing a hard reboot to get back into service. Someone steered me toward bios settings for power supply idle control set to typical and I disabled Global C-state Control and it seemed to be ok for about 2 weeks then started freezing again. Ver 6.8.3 Asrock B450M Pro4 Ryzen 3 3600G G Skill F4-3200C16D-16GFX (2x8G Kit) Here is a link to my original post. I wanted to rule out Memory issues and ran memtest for 3 passes with no errors I had left the logging on and found this was logged when it crashed this morning. Anyone able to decipher it? 19. I had thought about doing that but hoped there was another way I just could not see. Thank You
  20. I am running Plex in my Docker. I installed an SSD M2 drive to use as an Appdata drive for Plex, and have it as an Unassigned Device. When running plex, I get an warning alarm for High Temp (45C) for that drive. I read that SSDs will run hotter and the threshold should be higher for it. I want to change the threshold for that drive but there is no option. I know how to do it for the drives in the array, but there is no option for the unassigned devices drive. Anyone know where else to look?
  21. Disabled Global C-state Control yesterday and it has not gone down yet. I will feel pretty confident if it is up in the AM
  22. Nope Locked up again this evening. This is really getting old
  23. Is this an issue with all Ryzens? I should have researched if Ryzens had issues with Unraid or over all. I have a Ryzen 3 2200G in my main PC and never had an issue with it. I got a great deal on the new M/B and the Ryzen 3 3200G so used them for the Unraid with plans to upgrade the processor in the future if needed I updated the bios and can now see that option and set it to Typical. Well see if that helps.
  24. Down again this AM. I do not know what to do or where to even begin looking syslog Barryrod 2.txt
