  1. Thank you, looks as if I'm doing the H310 upgraded sooner, as in right now, than later.
  2. I was expanding my drive, replaced the old 3tb Parity drive with an 8tb drive and that went fine Replaced an old 1.5tb drive with the old 3tb parity drive and that went fine Replaced the last old 1.5tb drive with a new 8tb drive. I woke up this morning to the red X on the old 3tb drive. I wasn't able to get a SMART report in the log but pulled one from the drive and attached it. Thanks! tower-diagnostics-20180619-0810.zip tower-smart-20180619-0815.zip
  3. Hello, seeking some advice here. I currently have a Sempron 145 running 7 drives that are a mix of green, red and black. My current power supply is an Antec High Current Gamer 400 watt with the following specs +3.3V@20A, +5V@20A, +12V@30A, [email protected], [email protected] It works great right now but I am going to upgrade so I can start running a Plex server to transcode video. I have been given a Sabertooth X58 with an i7 920 processor (130 watt) for the task but not installed it yet. Do you think I should upgrade the PS to handle the increased power draw from the proc and if so what would you recommend? As of right now I don’t have plans to increase the array but it would be nice to be able to bump it up to 8 drives if necessary. THANKS!
  4. I had to shut down the server and copy the file off of the USB but here it is I'm pretty sure I'm running version 5.0.4 syslog.txt
  5. /edit So this is now resolved, looks like the Intel NIC card got damaged somehow because switching over to the internal Realtek adaptor fixed everything Hey guys, probably a Windows problem what do you think? I moved to a new house and setup my old system and it's bizarre I can telnet into Unraid and everything is fine obviously logging in directly to Unraid shows everything as fine as well. I can see the network drive and the server under Network in Win 7. Now when I try to access the files it won't let me in saying Media is not accessible You might not have permission to use this network and when I try to access the browser interface to Unraid it brings up the log on screen, gives my server name and accepts my username and password but then times out and won't let me into the interface. Log is posted in my next post /UPDATE On a whim I pulled out my laptop and was able to access tower just fine! It definitely has something to do with my Desktop PC
  6. Howdy all So I've got my Unraid box up and running the 3 disk free version with the following hardware. I'm running UNRAID 4.7 Sempron 145 Asrock 880G MB with internal nic disabled Intel Pro 1000 PCI Gigabit NIC 2 GB stick of Crucial 1.5v PC3-8500 RAM 2 Seagate 1.5TB hard drives 1 2 gig Western Digital green parity drive All three drives passed preclear Okay so twice now the "Tower" has disappeared from my Windows Network. I reboot my PC but it doesn't fix it. I then log into //tower and try to spin down the drives to reboot it but the drives don't spin down even thou it looks as if they are trying to. I then try the CLI command shutdown but after waiting for about 5 min nothing happens. I then try to log back in under //tower and it says something about how the system is in the process of shutting down and I can't access anything else. The server never actually does shut down. At this point I have to press the reset button which I hate to do. I've been using UNRAID for about a week now and I've had to do this twice already. Any suggestions? Please keep in mind I'm a total rookie when it comes to this stuff. Thank you! Jon syslog.txt
