    Can any of you recommend the best site to get a step by step instruction or video of how to put the unraid server together. I have all my parts, but i need help from connecting to turning it on and setting it up. Im not very computer savvy so i want to make sure i get this right without screwing up.

    B1G man you really came through with that suggestion! I think I can sacrifice 4 drives for the convenience and price of getting the cages you suggested!! Only pain I think will be is that there aren't front load correct?

    Antect 1200 Owners help please

    This is my first build Im about to do, ive just about finished ripping my movies and Ive purchased my case the Antect 1200. I know i eventually want to fill it with 20 drives with the 4 icy dock cages. My question is what do i do in the meantime because im only going to start off with 3 drives which will go in the fist cage. Do i install the other three cages when i build it or wait because that will leave the front of the case open because i dont have drives yet to fill those cages? hope my question makes sense. Ive never built a computer before so bare with me please.

    WOW ok so just to be sure;

     

    what are you motherboard, CPU recommendations please? Im going to need at least 4gb ram space and i want to have 6 sata slots (at least thats what ive been told). im going to eventually fill up that antec 1200 with 20 hard drives.

    Finally somebody helping a brother out! LOL

    Yes i will be using it just as a server for my Plex setup for movies and music. I do plan to do about 4gb of RAM as well.

    I got my Antec 1200 this weekend now im just staring at it scared to make my next move LOL dont know what to buy next, want to make sure i get the right parts.
