  1. Hi, Windows 11 boots fine, only when i select USB stick with unRAID i get this error Its z690 board I tried disabling secure boot but the PC stuck on boot, somehow with secure boot disabled it wont read Hard drives attached to SATA cards and wil get stuck on boot A2 error, if i disable them it will boot fine, if re-enable secure boot it will boot fine [into windows]
  2. Can someon help me please. Im just finalizing my build and i want to use iscsi from windows to unraid. what confuses me is that how unRAID parity works with iscasi drives? After mounting iscasi on windows, can it be NTFS formatted? How it appears from unRAID side of things? does it even uses the parity or iscsi is outside parity?
  3. Hello, So i been putting off unraid for long time due to hearing its extremely slow, but lately i heard that newer versions have new options to make HDD read/Write speeds equal to their actual speeds, is this is true? What will be the setup that i need to follow to do that? Also, can i keep my old NVMe with windows 11, to get dual boot, or at least so i can unplug unraid USB and then boot into windows I also have 1TB samsung pro SSD, bunch of 512 pro SSDs and Optane 905 280Gb, I want to use the 1Tb and two 512Gb Samsungs pro + 280p Optane as cache drives Whats the recommended setup for cache drives? Is there any way to sent torrent magnet links and torrent files from main PC web browser to unraid for download? like some sort of browser plugin that captures the torrent and sends them to uinraid? Connection is AQC107 10Gb and one PC, I planed to plug them directly into each other, but found on amazon Germany has a sale for Qnap QSW-2104-2T, so i got one to make everything simple, it has two 10GB ports and x5 2.5Gb ports, ill use the 2.5Gb port as uplink to my router, i hope it wont slow down the internet speed I hope all the parts that I have are unRaid compatible My build is 12700, iGPU, 32Gb RAM and i have x3 5 port PCIe x4 SATA card, forgot the controller, but its the good one among the cheap cards, its PCIe Gen 3.0 and has PCie x2 lane connection so enough for HDD's Thanks
  4. In windows in the Ethernet adapter settings right? And in Unraid? What i wonder how will the computers know to connect each otehr trough direct 10Gb connection instead of going trough 1Gb router connection?
  5. Hello, So I have copper network and my router has x2 10GB ports, one for 2.5G Fiber ISP and otehr for my Main PC. Basically the cheapest Switch i can buy is QNAP x2 10G ports and x5 2.5Gb ports, its about 200USD and i f i get it ill just be using 3 ports, 2.5Gb uplink to router and two 10Gb ports I rather save money with direct connection, and maybe get tad faster performance and lower latency, Please tell me if this setup is possible: Unraid: 1Gb to Router [this part is problematic, i know that without this is posible to connect Unraid to PC and PC to be connected to router] Unraid: 10GB Aquantia to my PC 10Gb Aquantia My PC: 2.5GB to Router My PC: 10Gb Aquantia to Unraid 5Gb Aquantia Is this possible? I want to have the Unraid still have access to my Network say to stream directly to TV or to access files from iPad pro Thank in advance
  6. Guys, what will be the ultimate/best choice mainstream CPU + iGPU for unRAID ? Which CPU function used for Parity calculation? AVX? AES? FPU? or the more cores the better? [Please no AMD, I have z490 board] This is what i currently have for my unRAID, i only need to get a new PC case: i have z490 board and 10700K + 16GB RAM + 512GB M.2 SSD [ for cache] + 2TB Samsung SATA SSD [for cache] + sas card with 8 sata + aquantia 10G lan card. I wont have any VM's, it will be used for storage only but with docklets or whatever its called? like Bittorent, Piehole, vthings like this and video streaming will be native, no re-encoding. But the system will be used as Backup PC too, ill have windows 10 installed on disabled SATA SSD and when i need it ill just plug it in and take out the unRAID USB drive. My options are for same price: Intel 10850K 10C/20T Intel 11700K that has AVX 512, DLboost, and higher single core performance, faster AES, 7zip, RAR performance, in all reviews in NON gaming benchmarks it usually beats 10 core 10900K, also it has a MUCH improved iGPU, almost 40% faster and has better video encoding So i wonder which one to get, more cores or faster single core and new technologies? I kinda lean towards 11700K, mostly because of the iGPU and because in non gaming benchmarks.
