  1. This worked for me and provided a flashback of when I installed my first server many years ago. Just to provide more specifics from my Dell R720: 1. When booting press F2 for system setup. 2. System BIOS 3. Boot Settings 4. Boot mode should be set to BIOS (mine was on UEFI) 5. Go down to BIOS boot settings 6. Go into Hard-Disk Drive Sequence 7. Make the flash drive the first (top) and the RAID the second (bottom) 8. Back out and save when prompted. Back out some more until you are asked to reboot. From this point the system should boot into Unraid without any interaction. One side note: I tested the USB on the front USB and when I got it working I moved the USB to the internal USB. The BIOS automatically updated the location so no edit was needed. I also used a Samsung Bar Plus 3.1 USB Flash drive that is 2.0 compatible.
  2. Going off of what was said here I wanted to addon to add more clarity for anyone else having the same issue. What worked for me on Windows 11 was Windows Control Panel > Credential Manager > Add a windows credential Internet or network address: Same as the share you are trying to connect with. If the server is called Unraid_Box you would put in Unraid_Box Username: Shared access username goes here Password: I went through a lot of troubleshooting but in the end it was a Windows 11 issue.
  3. Has anyone ran into any issues with movies getting unsorted? Apologies if I missed something on the matter. LOG: Input #0, matroska, webm, from '/library/movies/ConAir/Con Air.mkv': Metadata: title : John Wick. hapter 2.2017UHDBRRip 2160p TrueHd 7.1 Atmos H265-d3g The movie should be Con Air but plays John Wick. This has happened on several movies and now I am also trying to find a way to get a list of movies that need to be corrected without having to manually check each one. Any advice would be appreciated as I am still trying to diagnose the issue.
  4. Thank you for the advise meep. After going over your amazing guide and solving many other puzzles like getting virt-manager to work. I am still not sure on what is going on. Virt-manager simply shows a blank screen. Nothing more. I moved the GPU to another PC to confirm it was working and it had no trouble at all. Still I grabbed 2 1100w power supplies so I could upgrade the GPU to a Geforce 680. Once I get the new power supplies I am going to start off again from the "Click 'Add Hardware' and choose Graphics to add a Spice or VNC adapter." ( Meeps guide: https://mediaserver8.blogspot.com/2020/07/problems-passing-through-gpu-to-unraid.html). I will post again my results. To get Virt-manager to work for me: From the Nerd pack: netcat-openbsd-1.105-x86_64-2.tgz libffi-3.3-x86_64-1.txz After these were installed go to virt-manager: File>Hypervisor>Customer URI>qemu+ssh://root@your-server-ip/system Thanks to all who help me and everyone else. The support is amazing here!
  5. I too edited my xml as you did. I noticed my edit did NOT have .rom at the end so I changed the extension to that and added it in the xml. Booted with no issues but still not getting any display. I will keep digging in what you posted and elsewhere.
  6. Bump ^ Anyone have any ideas or thoughts?
  7. I am trying to get a GeForce GTX 750 Ti to do passthrough on a Windows 10 VM. Using the VNC works fine but when I use the GPU I see nothing but a blank screen. I am using the GPU as both the soundcard and GPU. I also tested/swapped cables. To check for video I have a monitor plugged directly in AND am using Splashtop that was confirmed working when I use VNC. At this point I think I am missing the obvious and if so I clearly am not seeing it. I thank you for taking the time to read this and look forward to any help offered.
  8. Trurl, I looked at both krusader and mc. MC was much easier for me. Thank you for that! For anyone looking into this: open the command prompt in unraid and type mc. 1-10 for the interface options on the bottom are F keys. So F8 to delete and F6 to copy/rename. I removed the files like mentioned above and used F6 to move the file to the same folder with the proper name. I used https://www.linode.com/docs/tools-reference/tools/how-to-install-midnight-commander/ to learn about it for the first time. After I rename both files (blue arrows in my image a couple posts up) to the right name I started my container back up and it worked like a charm. I hope this helps others in the future.
  9. I am using https://support.plex.tv/articles/202485658-restore-a-database-backed-up-via-scheduled-tasks/ guide to restore the db. Per the image below I plan on removing the yellow highlighted and renaming the blue arrows but I cannot remove anything due to the permissions issue that I need to figure out now. I have created a backup of the whole folder as well.
  10. I did not. Where would I find the backup db files? I am searching... UPDATE: \\MEDIA01\appdata\PlexMediaServer\Library\Application Support\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Databases
  11. Thank you for the suggestion. I see no effect though. Here are the logs right after I tried: [s6-init] making user provided files available at /var/run/s6/etc...exited 0. 12. So while searching for an answer I found this: \\MEDIA01\appdata\PlexMediaServer\Library\Application Support\Plex Media Server\Logs Jul 29, 2020 17:18:59.818 [0x1510c829b700] INFO - Plex Media Server v1.19.5.3112-b23ab3896 - Docker Docker Container x86_64 - build: linux-x86_64 debian - GMT -05:00 Jul 29, 2020 17:18:59.818 [0x1510c829b700] INFO - Linux version: 4.19.107-Unraid, language: C Jul 29, 2020 17:18:59.818 [0x1510c829b700] INFO - Processor Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2643 0 @ 3.30GHz Jul 29, 2020 17:18:59.818 [0x1510c829b700] INFO - /usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Plex Media Server Jul 29, 2020 17:18:59.809 [0x1510d13cc740] DEBUG - BPQ: [Idle] -> [Starting] Jul 29, 2020 17:18:59.813 [0x1510d13cc740] DEBUG - FeatureManager: Using cached data for features list Jul 29, 2020 17:18:59.815 [0x1510d13cc740] DEBUG - Opening 20 database sessions to library (com.plexapp.plugins.library), SQLite 3.26.0, threadsafe=1 Jul 29, 2020 17:18:59.823 [0x1510d13cc740] ERROR - SQLITE3:(nil), 11, database corruption at line 66053 of [bf8c1b2b7a] Jul 29, 2020 17:18:59.823 [0x1510d13cc740] ERROR - SQLITE3:(nil), 11, database disk image is malformed in "PRAGMA cache_size=2000" Jul 29, 2020 17:18:59.824 [0x1510d13cc740] ERROR - Database corruption: sqlite3_statement_backend::prepare: database disk image is malformed for SQL: PRAGMA cache_size=2000 Seems like my database is corrupt. 13. My Plex container appeared to crash and I cannot determine why or what the exact issue is. I am running unraid 6.8.3 and the latest version of plex. If so, adding it back should work unless the data is corrupt in the first place. UPDATE: Resolved. I had to use a past db files to resolve my issue. This was done through MC (Midnight Commander). See below for all that I did with the help of this great community. Special thanks to all that helped me and help others. This was honestly the selling point for me to switch to unraid. The community!
  14. fatefree, Did you ever resolve your issue? I am having the same issue and have not made much headway.
