Post your docker run for Krusader as explained at this very first link in the Docker FAQ:

sure, thank you. Here is the result:

    Command:root@localhost:# /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/scripts/docker create --name='binhex-krusader1' --net='bridge' --privileged=true -e TZ="America/Los_Angeles" -e HOST_OS="Unraid" -e 'TEMP_FOLDER'='/config/krusader/tmp' -e 'WEBPAGE_TITLE'='Tower' -e 'VNC_PASSWORD'='' -e 'UMASK'='000' -e 'PUID'='99' -e 'PGID'='100' -p '6080:6080/tcp' -v '/mnt/':'/UNRAID':'rw' -v '/mnt/user/appdata/binhex-krusader':'/config':'rw' 'binhex/arch-krusader'

  2. hi everyone.

what's the fastest way to migrate my setup from the binhex-emby container to the official emby container? I can't get transoding working on the binhex one and it apparently works fine on the official one.

    thank.

Are you running the unofficial version of Unraid with nvidia drivers?

yup, basically followed the Spaceivader's video to the letter but transcoding with the binhex container doesn't seem to be working. No errors on the container log either. I just don't see the card at all.

  4. Ok, so after further research it turns out my UPS being the 120V SMT1500VA does not actually support firmware update with any of the APC tools and thus does not support MODBUS for any of the advanced features. So much for SMART UPS.

you dont need to do it via the console, simply install notepad++, or atom then open the file /config/openvpn/<name of the file with a ovpn extension> and edit the 'remote' line and change it to a endpoint that does support port forwarding, save and restart the container, see q10 from the following link if you dont know how to work out which endpoints are enabled:-

    https://github.com/binhex/documentation/blob/master/docker/faq/vpn.md

thanks for the quick response, that fixed it. I wasted two hours tracing this down last night.

On another note, thanks a lot for all the work you're putting in. Can I buy you a beer?

    According to this bug report

I know this may be too simple BUT I had a similar situation and realized that after a recent move I'd plugged everything into the surge side of the UPS and not the backup side (because I did it blind due to space). This resulted in the exact situation you show above, zero load on the UPS, I noticed it a few weeks later and plugged everything into the other side.

Ok, so I finally got to check if it is plug in right and my UPS doesn't have surge protection only outlets.

I also have the USB/RJ45, USB/RS232 and USB only cables and can not get the advanced stats from the UPS no matter what combination of settings I use so something else is wrong.

    Any other ideas anybody?

I will definitely check if this might be the case, I did indeed plug in mine by touch only as I don't have access to the back of the UPS myself. I really hope that's all that's to it. I will report back. Thanks for your reply.

  8. hi guys,

i have a smart APC Smart-UPS X 1500VA hooked up to my system and is is not reporting load properly as per below:

    ups.JPG.a04cbc16d76ae69a4ad5184404e2c737.JPG

As far as I know it is hooked up by the origianal USB cable. I did try the RS232 cable as well but would not even get the above info. when i run the apctest command i get this:

    root@Tower:~# apctest

    2020-03-31 23:12:52 apctest 3.14.14 (31 May 2016) slackware
    Checking configuration ...
    sharenet.type = Network & ShareUPS Disabled
    cable.type = USB Cable
    mode.type = USB UPS Driver
apctest FATAL ERROR in apctest.c at line 313
Unable to create UPS lock file.
If apcupsd or apctest is already running,
please stop it and run this program again.
    apctest error termination completed

I have tried all the cable/protocol combinations i can think of but the best result is with the USB/USB combo which is what give me the above.

    i'd appreciate any help.

    thanks in advance

  9. hi there,

I am looking for some input on an cache upgrade process.

my cache drive is ruining btrfs and NetData started reporting issues with allocation. The server appears to be happy but I don't want to take any chances with attempting to repair the allocation issue so I decided to upgrade the cache drive with a cache pool.

is my best option still to follow the wiki thread:

    https://wiki.unraid.net/index.php/Replace_A_Cache_Drive

or should I be able to replace the current drive with a pool by adding second larger ssd, establishing a mirrored pool and then replacing original with another SSD that would be identical to the second one? If so:

    1. can I change the filesystem on the second and third drive so I dont have?

    2. is the pool going to automatically expand it self once the original drive is removed and replaced with the third (identical to the secon)

    thanks for your insight!

    RESOLVED

    -----------------

    hi there,

I hate to be that guy, but I am really here. I was hoping my card would arrive in IT mode just like what others were lucky to get but no dice.

I got SAS9210-8i with v7.39.02.00 BIOS and 20.00.07.00-IR firmware. I wasn't able to get into the UEFI shell on any of the systems that are available to me so I thought I check here before attempting again.

is the 9210-8i identical to the 9211-8i? Would someone be able to confirm or point me to the files and steps I need for this card?

    thanks in advance.

    -----------------------

all done, this was actually stupid simple, i think i was just being over cautious.

On the flash drive, delete config/plugins/dynamix.plg, reboot and the GUI will come up.

all sorted, thank you so much for your help.

I ended up copying the config over to a fresh copy of 5.3, then just upgrading directly to the latest version. I, however don't trust this USB stick, so I'll be migrating the OS to a new one

thanks again for all the help, this community truly is awesome!

  12. Oh, and for the OP, try redoing your flash drive, backup current one, format and create a new install and then restore only the config folder from the backup.
I will do this next as I have 4 clean passes on memtest this morning.

I didn't have the latest version running, when redoing the sticks, should I just download the newest version of Unraid?

Try this, it worked for me for an identical error, on the flash drive edit syslinux/syslinux.cfg and add root=sda to the boot option you're using after initrd=/bzroot, e.g.:

    label Unraid OS
       menu default
       kernel /bzimage
       append initrd=/bzroot root=sda

    thanks for the reply,

I have updated the config file as you suggested, then I just get:

VFS: Cannot open root device "sda" or unknown-block (0,0): error -6

Please append a correct "root=" boot option: here are the available aprtitions:

    0800     3052392 sda

     driver: sd

      0801   30523375 sda1 c307e18-01

memtest ran twice without reporting an error. It fails on the same spot when booting so I'm really not suspecting the RAM to be the culprit here.

    thanks again for any feedback
