  1. So habe nun den ASM1166 eingebaut und der Controller sowie ein AMD PCIe Device in der ASPM Übersicht sind nun zusätzlich auf Enabled. In der Powertop übersicht sehe ich halt max. C3 aber glaube das ist der Powertop Bug von aktuelleren AMD CPUs. Meine IDLE Leistung mit Spin Down Festplatten fällt nun auf ~27W das ist Top und bin komplett zufrieden. Mit laufenden Disk (ohne Auslastung) 40W.
  2. @mgutt Habe mir nun die Sache angesehen bezüglich den amd_driver zu laden. Der wird nun auch geladen jedoch sind meine ASPM States schlechter als vorher und mehr disabled. Kann das Sein? An den Controller hängt nichts kritisches und wird in 3 Tagen getauscht. Nachtrag2: Ja bestätige hiermit, dürfte an den Marvel Chip liegen. Habe den AMD_Treiber wieder abgeschaltet und weiterhin so ein "schlechter" status bezüglich ASPM. Ich werde die Tage dann den ASM1166 Controller einbauen und berichten ob es besser ist.

  4. Danke dir, werde die von Ebay nehmen, braucht zwar einige Zeit aber auf Amazon gibt es nichts (was zu mir liefert) und das sollte ausreichen. Vielen Dank! Ich habe die Micron SSD ausgebaut und den Dell PERC H310 ausgebaut und komme nun mit den 4 HDDs und der Intenso SSD auf 50W im durschnitt Find ich schonmal cool.
  5. Das heißt ich sollte mir eher den 1064 besorgen? Ich bin nun komplett verwirrt sorry^^ Kannst du vlt kurz einen Link schicken zu den empfohlenen Controller? Mir ist grundlegend der Speed egal, mindestens 2 Ports (alles darüber natürlich nice) und er sollte Fehlerfrei laufen das wäre meine Prio (inkl. Stromsparmaßnahmen^^) Will jetzt auch nicht den 1166 wegen der Aussage bzgl JMB und DIPM Nachtrag: Würde dann trotzdem dieser passen? Meine CPU unterstützt ja PCIe Lanes 16x + 4x + 4x 16x würde ich für eine zukünftige Graka reseriveren 4x nimmt die eine Samsung NVME 4x könnte der 1166 Controller sein
  8. Danke für die Antwort, Netzteil habe ich das "Be Quiet! Pure Power 12 M" sollte soweit ich mich informier habe ähnlich den Corsair RM550x performen. (i hope so) Wieso zerlegt mir das Micron alle C States`? Also die kann ich sofort austauschen, ist nicht in verwendung und ist als Standby drinnen. Ist die Intenso genauso ein großes Problem?   9. Hi Leute, habe meinen neuen Server zusammengebaut und schaue grade wie ich den IDLE Verbrauch noch optimiere. Ich habe powertop installiert und auto-tune laufen lassen, sowie im Bios soweit mir bekannte EnergieSpar optionen aktiviert. (EnergyStar, ERP, CEC) Recht viel mehr habe ich nicht gefunden? Habe überlegt ob ich mir ein Modded Bios installiere. Derzeitig schwanke ich stark zwischen 50-60W was ich etwas hoch finde. (Spun Up Disks) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5650G (45 PPT eingestellt) Mainbaord: ASUS TUF Gaming B550M-Plus Ram: 2x 32GB Micron 3200 ECC SAS Controller Dell Perc H310 (IT Mode) 4* 8TB Western Digital White HDDs 2* Samsung SSD 980 Pro 1* Intenso SATA SSD, 1* Micron SATA SSD Was ich herausgefunden habe, ich habe das System einmal ohne SAS Controller getestet und da war ich bei 18W und mit Controller dann bei 26W.   12. Hey everyone, i want to use a specific IP Address on an ETH Interface or an VLAN for the outgoing connections for my dockers. As default the containers using the default eth0 IP Address from unraid with the Default Gateway. I would like to achieve 2 things. All container incoming and outgoing traffic should be running on an specific IP Adress on an eth Interface or better an VLAN. Example: ETH0 = 192.168.0.1/24 ETH1 = 172.16.0.1/24 Default behavior: The containers use the ETH0 IP (192.168.0.1) for all outgoing traffic. The incoming traffic would work on eth0 and eth1 as i see in my tests. Wanted behavior: The containers connect to the outside with the ETH1 IP (172.16.0.0) and preferable are only accessible through the eth1 ip. Please dont point me in the direction, to specify the container a local IP addresses directly (macvlan) from the local network, i want to use the custom_bridge functions and cant use dedicated IP Addresses from the local network.   14. Hi everyone, I'm considering getting a dedicated Intel NUC for my computing needs and using my existing Unraid server for storage (e.g., Docker, VMs). However, I'm not sure what the best way is to connect the two. I plan to store the Appdata folder on the Intel NUC to avoid network overhead, but for documents and media files for the media server, I would distribute them through the storage server. I'm planning to use Unraid on the Intel NUC and I'm considering connecting the necessary user shares via NFS. However, I'm unsure whether this is the best way or if it would be better to use SMB between the two Unraid servers. I recently learned that SMB supports "Server Side Copy" but I'm not sure if this feature is supported for standard communication between two Unraid servers. Any advice on the best approach would be appreciated. Thanks!

  16. Yes! I am using 6.11.2 Is there any ETA for the fixed version? My Problem drive is 4TB, where the xfs/btrfs formatting is not working. My working drive is 2TB Edit: After downgrading to 6.11.1 the formatting is working again!!! Thank you very much. Dammed i lost nearly a day for debugging^^
  17. You are right, the UD+ Plugin wasnt installed, because of my testing. After installting the plugin i can now mount exfat and ntfs. What still is not working, formatting XFS/BTRFS where it doesnt matter encrypted or not. I think there is a problem with the mount point, as i know ntfs/exfat/fat32 is using different mount names. I am using the borg docker to mount the volume and had problems in the past, but mostly because the /mnt/disks/mountname folder was already taken from borg. At the moment borg is not running and no folder in /mnt/disks/mountname Is it possible to set a different mountname for the formatting process? Is it possible to format the drive with cli? I only want to create a XFS encrypted partition with the unraid passphrase Over the night i did run a preclear, but it didnt solved the xfs/btrfs problem.   18. I have an problem with one external USB drive. I cant format it, other USB drives works fine. I had the problem drive mounted many weeks now and wanted to reformat it. What didnt worked out. When i press format with xfs/btrfs format, it is formatting but afterwards nothing happens and nothing is there to mount. I only can choose again to press format When i put the drive in another client, nothing is written on the drive / no GPT/MBR or parition. What is working to format: exfat/ntfs/fat32 But only fat32 is mountable, with exfat/ntfs the mount button is greyed out. I already reinstalled the plugin and removed the /boot/configs/plugings/unassigned.devices folder The drive is working fine on a windows client and i can format without a problem. Rebootet server already 3 times (reinstalling plugins etc.) I updated today to the latest unraid version and all plugins up2date In the end i want to format it XFS (encrypted) so the workaround with windows is not possible.   19. One question about the data corruption, can this corruption only happen when data is transfered over the network adapter to the drives or also when the data is moved around between the disks?

  21. Thanks for the information. Do you have an idea what the problem could be? Do i need to mount the drive in another way? In the timeframe the blk_update error occured nothing special happened on the server. Could it be that the external exclosure is broken or with the usb connection?

  23. Hi, i have a little problem. I use borgmatic and have mounted an external USB Drive to the borgmatic container. So the mount point for example is "/mnt/disks/externaldrive" and i use the same path in the borgmatic container as "Read/Write - Slave" access mode. The problem is now after some time, be it days or 1-2 weeks. The complete server is getting something like stuck. Cant shutdown the server, open logs from webgui, cant update plugins, etc. The borgmatic backup job fails. I found out the problem is my external drive, i cant unmount it or do anything with it. The only solution is to disconnect the drive and everything is back to normal. My idea was now to check the disk if there is something wrong, it is a important backup disks so it would be important to keep the data alive. Could it be possible that i mount the drive wrong to the container? Anybody can tell me how i could start a repair/check of the filesystem? I am from the windows world and i am looking something like "chkdsk" Log from the drive when the errors started and disconnecting and connect it again. I checked the folder, if the drive is mounted is see the device with "DriveModelName-Serialnumber" but not sda1 When the drive is not mounted i dont see the device name or sda1 When i try to run the repair on the "DriveModelName-Serialnumber" drive i get "contains a mounted and writable filesystem"
  25. Hello, i have a little problem with an encrypted XFS Volume which i created with unassigned devices. The external hard disk has some problems when i check the log and i would like to check the filesystem. When i try to repair it with xfs_repair i get an error xfs_check -n /dev/sda1 xfs_repair: cannot open /dev/sda1: Device or resource busy The volume is not mounted at the moment.
