  1. I have started getting this error when I go to log in:

The web server seems to be incorrectly configured for cookies required for PHP sessions!

This is on all machine I've tried and with different browsers. I also tried deleting the image and reinstalling,

Do I have something misconfiguration? The only thing I changed was the port.

  2. Since around October 22 (so around the time mediainfo was updated to v23.10) I get this error for writing xattr:

Failed to write xattr key: net.filebot.mediainfo: 'filename': Error writing extended attribute 'net.filebot.mediainfo': Not supported

Any thoughts on how to get around this?

  3. I've notices that during large writes to the cache pool my write speed quickly tapers from 300 MBps to 30 MBps. I ran across a write speed test from JorgeB on another post that captured what I was seeing in the webui perfectly. Why could I be seeing this?

It is a Silicon Power 1TB connected directly to the motherboard SATA controller and TRIM is scheduled to run daily. It is 4KiB-aligned and I've been thinking about reformatting with 1MiB alignment but want to see if there are other options first.

  4. Thanks for pointing this out. So I just installed that card and never passed it to the VM. I guess it took the spot of my USB controller but now the usb controller isn't visible and obviously not passed through. Is that a mobo problem? I'm running dual Intel Xeon E5-2689 which should have the lanes for the additional card.

  5. I am having trouble transcoding 4k content with my GeForce 1050 Ti. Plex just hangs at 13% and gives up. I feel like the GPU should be more than capable for multiple transcodes even. The issue does not occur in the Web Stream with quality set to automatic (in which it does transcode to 1080) but when 1080 is selected at any bitrate and with a Roku where there is not automatic option it dies. Is this a bottleneck or some other issue?

I have tried Automatic and Make My CPU Hurt Transcoder quality setting. I've tried HDR tone mapping on and off. My transcode directory is set to RAM and 'df -h' in the Plex shell shows 62G available. My dashboard screenshot shows hw transcode too.

One thing I noticed during a transcode to 1080 is this error:

[Transcode] Codecs: hardware transcoding: opening hw device failed - probably not supported by this system, error: Generic error in an external library

This error does not appear in the logs if I initialize a 720 transcode but the transcode still fails.

Direct play works fine so it should not be a network problem.

  6. I want to try out the leaked Windows 11 but obviously want to do so as securely as possible. Is there a way to prevent the VM from having any network access at all? Trying to prevent network access as mentioned but also access to unraid or any shares.

Is it as simple as not installing the virtio network drivers once booted into VM?

  7. Some additional info that I found this morning. I had a graphics card passed through as you can see in the xml but I switched graphics to VNC to see if that helped but also to view the boot process as nothing was being output through the graphics card. I made a new Ubuntu VM and tried assigning the removed graphics card removed from the Windows machine but VM starting the Ubuntu VM gives an execution error saying that the Windows machine is still using the PCI device.

I tried restarting the VM manager but now I get a Libvert service failed to start error. I didn't remove the autostart flag from the Windows VM which I wish I had done now.

I do have backups of my libvirt.img file from the CA Backup/Restore plugin and a VM backup from JTok's beta VM Backup plugin (plugin deleted last week so that image is slightly older.)

  8. So I just swapped cases and decided to reorganize my pci devices to add another card while I had everything out and now I can't access my VMs. The VM tab and the VM Manger in settings just timeout. Do I have to move everything back to their original positions?

I have 3 GPUs installed. 1 for plex and 1 for each of 2 VMs.

  9. I ran the repair and got the warning saying you need to provide the -L option to proceed which I did. Everything completed and the drive is mountable but all of the files (maybe a lot missing) are in lost+found. Hosed at this point? I have the old drive so I can try to recover from that one if it comes to it.

I guess thinking ahead if I do attempt to recover the files from the failed (failing?) hard drive would I simply start the array and rsync the file back to their respective shares?

Was it showing as unmountable before the rebuild?  A rebuild does not fix an unmountable status if the emulated drive was unmountable before the rebuild.

Handling of unmountable drives is covered here in the online documentation accessible via the ‘Manual’ link at the bottom of the UnRaid GUI.

I believe it was showing unmountable. Will this have adversely affected the rebuild?

  11. I just completed a successful rebuild after replacing a failed drive only now the new drive says it is unmountable. The filesystem says xfs when the array is started but when I stopped the array and removed the drive it does not show a filesystem in unassigned devices.

I have seen others have success running xfs_repair but I'm not sure if that is applicable in my situation.

Any suggestions on how to proceed?
