  1. I did install that, so it sounds consistent. Thanks!
  2. Cool! So looks like nothing to worry about.
  3. Mover seems to be working normally once booted, but I'm getting an odd error message saying it can't be found at boot. Any ideas why this might be?
  4. Thanks! I’ve installed that as well. Really appreciated!
  5. Just wanted to post thanks for this script - just what I was looking for, and fills another gap in features between TrueNAS and Unraid during my evaluation of both before deciding which way to jump.
  6. Which is then overwritten every time the pool stops and restarts or the server restarts. It's not resilient. I note that the /etc/samba directory is wiped every time the system is took offline, and all the files are recreated when it starts up again. A solution that involves editing those files every time you do any sort of maintenance isn't sustainable.
  7. Definitely a vote for me - the method currently suggested of doing it via the SMB options object results in only being able to set up WORM for a single share as the text space is limited in that box, and a bit fiddly to do. Supporting the Worm VFS option would be a huge plus, as it's really the biggest feature in TrueNas that I see "must have" for me and my use case.
  8. **Update** Change Export to No in SMB settings for the share, then restart, and it works.
  9. Hmm. OK, I tried putting [archive] path = /mnt/user/archive comment = browseable = yes writeable = no read list = write list = stephen, nigel valid users = stephen, nigel case sensitive = auto preserve case = yes short preserve case = yes vfs objects = catia fruit streams_xattr worm fruit:encoding = native worm:grace_period = 86400 # 1 day Into the SMB Extras, but the samba configuration file is unmodified.
  10. Ok, I’m on day 1, so that looks like it’s a bit beyond me at the moment! I can see the SMB Extras field in the settings panel, but it’s not immediately obvious how to set it up for a specific directory.
  11. Hi, I’m currently evaluating Unraid and TrueNAS. One feature of TrueNas that I really like that I can’t immediately see a way to replicate is the ability to set up a share so that after writing a file after X minutes it becomes read only to help with protection against potential ransomware attacks. Is there any way to achieve that in Unraid?
