  1. Did you ever find a solution to this? I would like to be able to connect my Kobo to unraid vis USB and have it show up in calibre to manage books more easily.
  2. Script Finished May 16, 2023 21:03.55 There was an issue with python3, even though it said it was installed, apparently, it wasn't. I applied an update to powershell and was notified that python was missing. I uninstalled python and reinstalled it. No longer receive the error message above.
  3. Yeah I had them send me a new licence key, using a new USB Key. Thank you both @JorgeB and @ChatNoir You can consider this resolved.
  4. As the title says, I'm running 6.10.3 and communications WAS working. This morning I went to the Apps folder to look for something and it's showing "Click Install to download and install the Community Applications plugin" I thought wierd, but OK. Click install and it fails. System logs shows Oct 23 06:07:15 Helios unraid-api[39104]: ⚠️ Caught exception: EROFS: read-only file system, open '/boot/config/plugins/dynamix.my.servers/myservers.cfg' Oct 23 06:07:15 Helios unraid-api[39104]: ⚠️ UNRAID API crashed with exit code 1 As it references boot, would this have something to do with my USB flash drive that unraid boots from? My boot drive failed earlier this year, and I migrated to another one however, it wasn't the one I ultimately wanted to use and grabbed another one that I had laying around before buying some new ones. As I've already swapped USB boot devices once this year, as you're only allowed once per year, how do I go about replacing it again? I'm leaving for vacation on Tuesday and would like to have this resolved before I leave so something catastrophic doens't happen while I'm gone. I attached the diag for reference. Thanks for any assistance. helios-diagnostics-20221023-0857.zip
  5. Have not had the issue since clearing the cache, history, cookies on Safari. If it does happen again, I'll just use Firefox for this specific task.
  6. Will try those suggestions. Yes, it is Safari. Off topic, but in reference to Safari I do notice that if I install an app from the app tap within unraid with Safari, I never see the line updates of what it's doing, only when it's finished and I can click done. No idea why it does this.
  7. On 6.10.3 and it just happened. helios-diagnostics-20220628-1009.zip
  8. Good question I guess. I know there were some issues with 6.10, so I had not updated. I'm running on a Dell Server T430 and I thought I read something about issues with something...
  9. Can anyone help with this... it's a reoccurring problem.
  10. Issue: Launching the console for a docker container (Plex Meta Manager) to run a script manually, and often I get the following happen "Connection Closed" while it's running, or sometimes even when the console is just sitting there. The main page of Unraid then resets and says "This webpage was reloaded because a problem occurred." I generally then have to close the console of the docker I was trying to interact with and the main page of Unraid and launch it again. Is this due to the fact that I'm running the script directly in an open console instead of running it in the background? If so, how do we run the script in the background, user scripts? But then I can't see if the script encounters problems while running... Anyway, just looking for advice or a solution if something is wrong with my Unraid setup. Diagnostics downloaded just after the issue occurred is also attached. helios-diagnostics-20220612-1114.zip
  11. Rebooted after the rebuild and Docker started fine…who knows.
  12. Sure. Much appreciated! helios-diagnostics-20220601-1640.zip
  13. Well that's a coincidence! I just did a parity swap to get a larger drive and I'm now also getting that exact same message about Docker! Except that I never had any issues restarting to shutting down my server during the process. Just pressed the button to "Parity-Sync/Data-Rebuild", waited for the array to start, went to the docker tab and BAM error message.
  14. Correct, I just left off /mnt. My appdata folder is /mnt/user/appdata
  15. My bad. I apparently read what I wanted to and not what it was telling me. Knowing that my appdata folder is within /user I only started there, and did not look in the /mnt folder. Apologies.
  16. Just had 'Fix common Problems' run and complain about "Invalid folder appdata contained within /mnt" If it somehow knows about this, why doesn't it state what folder or what docker is causing it. I looked at all of the containers, but don't see anything glaringly obvious. I compared them with each other and they look correct. I downloaded the diagnostics and looked in the 'syslog.txt' but it only says the same thing "invalid folder appdata contained within /mnt". Can anyone point me to where in the diagnostics it would provide more information, or what actual file I can upload here to have someone comment on it? Thanks.
  17. Well, no need to create the 6.10.RC4 key again I guess, that explains why there was no option present. Also slightly annoying to have to look up my credentials with a >16 character complex password to sign in, just to pre-clear a drive outside of my main system.
  18. From memory. Booted into OS with GUI - legacy mode. Prompted me for username/password. Once logged in was immediately greeted with "Sign-in" or "Sign-up" wanted neither of those so I clicked beside the pop-up as this was running in a Firefox tab. Added a data drive. Scrolled down to where you normally start the array, which told me I needed to register which hyperlinked me to Tools/Registration page. Once there the blurb explained about using a Trial Key, which I've seen before as I currently run a Pro License on my unRAID server. Below the blurb there was only a single option, which if I remember correctly was 'sign-in'. I chose that and it did some thinking then complained about needing to add unraid.net as an exception as it was being blocked, which made no sense as it's on a VLAN that has wide open internet. I searched around and could find no button for a trial key. I went to the various tabs in unRAID and back to the Tools/Registration page several times and no option for a trial. I rebooted as well thinking there was an issue with something else. Same result. I made sure my date/time were correct, they were. Once I finish my pre-clear, not sure how long it'll take as it's 14tB, I'll create the 6.10.RC4 image and boot it up again and capture what shows up, if it's the same as I had previously.
  19. Correct, I was able to get through the creation of the USB key with A LOT of frustration and BS that I shouldn't have to go through. Not to mention that the non-UEFI option won't even boot, and I did have the BIOS set for legacy while trying to boot with the non-UEFI version. I was able to connect to unRAID via the assigned IP address. That said... I shouldn't have to, if there's an option for the GUI it should just work. This all started because I have 2 systems at home; a Windows 10 Desktop, and a MacBook Pro. I created a legacy bootable USB key for unRAID 6.10.RC4, which I was able to boot into just fine. The problem with 6.10.RC4 was that it gave me NO option for a trial key so I couldn't start the array. I couldn't create the 6.9.2 bootable key off the windows desktop because I was using that as the unRAID server for pre-clearing the drive and would have to put the PCIE drives back in, so I figured I'll just use my Mac. Long story short: The process for creating the bootable USB key works sometimes, other times it does't. When it doesn't it's a PITA, at least on a MAC.
  20. OMG this is so frustrating. Obviously there are issues with the USB Creator tool. I'm on MAC and it won't see the USB key, tried a different key, same thing. POS!!! OK, everyone says to follow the manual method... well that doesn't complete properly either. 1. Format USB key - done 2. Download .zip file of unRAID - done 3. Extract .zip to USB key - done 4. double-click the file make_bootable_mac and enter your admin password when prompted. --- ERROR I'm running OS 12.2.1 and unless you Control + click, then Open 'mac_bootable_mac' it won't even run. Having done control+click open, it starts to run and asks for my password. Gets so far and then throws another error “syslinux” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified." OK, so I find the 'syslinux' file and control + click open that file. Eventually it says complete and I can eject the USB key. Plug it into computer boot from USB key and get "non-system disk" press any key to restart OK, let me rename the EFI- folder to EFI Try booting, lets me select unRAID OS or unRAID OS GUI etc. Select unRAID OS GUI as I'm just using this to pre-clear an external USB drive before I shuck it. Boots MOST of the way and then just has a flashing cursor in the top left hand corner. GAAAAHHHH This is so ridiculous!!!!!!!
  21. Update: I figured it out. For anyone else follow the steps below. 1. In Finder on your Mac, locate the app you want to open. **Don’t use Launchpad to locate the app. 2. Control-click the app icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu. 3. Click Open. I have the same error as you have, but I don't understand what you mean by 'if you clicked through to the source file, you could just force it to open'. Can you explain what you mean? Also, it still needs to be corrected so this doesn't occur.
  22. Not aware of it being installed more than once. I mean, it only shows up once, so I assume I only have it installed once. If you see my post above yours the XML file was missing. I was able to cobble together the xml file and it's been working fine since.
  23. Update 1 I found where the XML file is supposed to be located for the DelugeVPN container Location: /boot/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user Name: my-binhex-delugevpn.xml That file however is nowhere to be found. I did find a copy of it in a backup, but it's corrupted. Near the end of the file I get a lot of garbled characters and NULNULNULNUL. Apparently there are supposed to be 18 host ports and mine corrupted around #3. Is there anyway to 'regenerate' the xml file from the container actually working and functioning properly? Update 2 I believe I have figured it out. I spun up a trial copy of unRaid and installed the DelugeVPN container, grabbed the .xml file from the same location (templates-user), then did a compare of the files using Notepad++ From what I can tell the corrupt data from the bottom of my original .xml file was/is just the default data/information for the container itself, and the options that you can choose from. Copied the template data from the new .xml file over to mine and saved it. I then made sure the owner and file permissions were the same and copied it via the terminal. Did a refresh of the docker page and the icon now shows up properly. Here's to hoping I figured it out! I would still like to know if it's possible to regenerate an .xml file from a running and usable container.
  24. Hopefully this is the correct thread to ask this in... DelugeVPN is up and running without issues, but the ICON shows as a ?. Clicking on it I have no option for the webui. Searching in CA shows that it's installed. I then choose 'actions', 'edit' and get "CreateXML: XML file was missing" How can I fix this?
