Ran memtest, got random errors. Noticed I has the two 16GB memory sticks in the A1/B1 slots instead of the correct A2/B2 slots so the XMP profile wasn't stable.
Switched them to the correct A2/B2 slots @ 3200MHz and it has been running for days without a single error. Thank you for all the help.

OK I managed to get out OK with just deleting what was affected. Re-ran the scrub and now I see no errors or warning in my log and an exit code 0

However, during lunch I did have another error in my syslog making me wonder if the remaining RAM is still bad or if I need to troubleshoot components like the motherboard or peripherals. Or slow my RAM clock down. Right now I'm 3200MHz which agrees with the B550M Pro4 manual for 2 slots of RAM. Also back in OS 6.9.x I was running this way for a long time with no issues on those same two sticks.

not sure what to make of this. SCRUB report has a 0/0/0 error summary, but syslog is littered with warnings and errors

ok scrub in process thanks. I did a inode find and deleted the affected file prior.

Server still going strong, but noticed there was an error this morning that I overlooked. @JorgeB Is there something I need to dig into to?

Should I do a BTRFS scrub or something?

Which usually means bad RAM, or other kernel memory corruption, start by running memtest.
After several more crashes not reported here yesterday, I pulled the 2nd half of my RAM out and now the server runs 100% for 12 hours. Thank you!
Do you think the bad RAM could be responsible for the previous nvme / usb device crashes I've had this year:

Had another crash with the VM off, then decided to leave off compreface-gpu and double-take dockers knowing these guys are heavy lifters (really no evidence says to turn them off, just a hunch).
Then left the house, came home to my zigbee2mqtt docker dead. The log said something about write-only only. Looking at the pfsense remote syslog (see attached):
Nov 20 12:30:34 unraid kernel: BTRFS critical (device dm-3): corrupt leaf: root=7 block=3573797388288 slot=263, unaligned key offset for csum item, have 3069387368448 should be aligned to 4096 Nov 20 12:30:34 unraid kernel: BTRFS info (device dm-3): leaf 3573797388288 gen 2132420 total ptrs 329 free space 4214 owner 7 Nov 20 12:30:34 unraid kernel: item 0 key (18446744073709551606 128 3069384982528) itemoff 16271 itemsize 12 Nov 20 12:30:34 unraid kernel: item 1 key (18446744073709551606 128 3069384994816) itemoff 16267 itemsize 4 Nov 20 12:30:34 unraid kernel: item 2 key (18446744073709551606 128 3069384998912) itemoff 16259 itemsize 8 Nov 20 12:30:34 unraid kernel: item 3 key (18446744073709551606 128 3069385007104) itemoff 16243 itemsize 16
Then:

so I noticed 6.11.5 what the heck why not I upgrade the OS to that. also in pure desperation I removed the following append from my flash:
nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0 pcie_aspm=off
this was suggested in the log from a previous crash this year.
Do I just have a shitty nvme here?

I have the same issue, or at least seems the same as I haven't had a chance to dig into it.
yeah def provide diags and logs on a dedicated thread if possible to the ops to solve it. otherwise it's not possible to know if the issues are related.

OK now crashing on 6.11.3 when I launched my VM. Now I am a bit confused, especially since I've been on 6.11.3 for over a week with my win10 running no issue.
See attached for crash log and diags.

What's your motherboard and BIOS version?

Your card is not supported for passthrough in the Nvidia drivers, it is only Kepler or newer that are supported: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5173/~/geforce-gpu-passthrough-for-windows-virtual-machine-(beta)
Are you sure the GTX 760 isn't supported?
I think it's on this list from Nvidia as a Kepler GPU:

Interesting. I upgraded driver to 465.89 (or newer, tested multiple) for my GTX 760 and still cannot get passthrough to work like it did in 6.9.2. Error 43 in Windows 10 client.
One thing that really helped my passthrough was especially if it's in the primary slot was to add "video=efifb:off" to Syslinux Configuration in the Flash settings when you click on it in the main page.

Same here, 6.10.0-RC2 was very sluggysh, IO had to wait much longer for IO. I didn't notice much difference in games though, but working in Windows was more painful. Went back to 6.9.2 and it's all good again.
(Ryzen9 3900x)I'm also sluggish on a Ryzen9 3900x Win10 VM with cpu host passthrough... If I roll back to 6.9.2 it's super fast.

You can try adding "video=efifb:off" to the end of the boot command in the flash drive.
This makes it so that when you boot Unraid, it won't ever get passed the blue rectangle prompt on your display. Essentially it will never use the primary GPU to display the console and so it won't conflict with your VM when it tries to pass it. (in theory)

Fixed it. The solution was just to upgrade my Win10 VM nvidia driver which was from 2020/09. It turns out that since 465.89 (2021/03) Nvidia has allowed virtual machines. For whatever reason 6.9.2 was allowing me to cheat the old driver and 6.10 wasn't.

No but @ich777 has been messaging with some solutions. Still no luck yet. Appreciate all the support on the forums! Will keep you posted.

I'm experiencing the same issue with 6.10rc2 trying to pass my primary GPU 1660Ti to VM. Code 43 all day. Roll back to 6.9.2 and it's fine. Tried a bunch of common sense stuff like you did but still no success.
-
I had this same issue in RC1 but it went away in RC2. Unfortunately it didn't fix my code43 error in my specific case of trying to pass through a primary GPU to VMs.
-
I guess If I'm having trouble passing a GPU through to a VM in 6.10, is it worth using @ich777 tool to build a custom unraid OS with the libvert version from 6.9.2? Do you guys think that's worth trying to bottom out the issue?
-
Also I get this error in my system log:
ERROR: AMD Processor family 23: mcelog does not support this processor. Please use the edac_mce_amd module instead

Looks like rc2 fixed the issues I had with rc1 where the vfio was failing to bind my GPU, MB Audio & MB USB. Now my vfio log is all succesful.
However, my windows 10 VM is still having issues with my GPU showing code 43. I've attached my VM log
[SOLVED] All I had to do was update my Win10 VM Nvidia driver. They removed VM detection code 43 after driver version 465.89 circa March 2021.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/results/172063/ "includes beta support for virtualization on GeForce GPUs"
-
my vfio binding all fails upgrading from 6.9.2 and my GPU passthrough goes code 43 in my win10vm
The logs show these differences between 6.9.2 and 6.10-rc1
i tried setting the pxe oprom to legacy in the CSM like another user said early in this thread, but no luck.

I've been running 6.9beta25 now for a month and it's great guys. Thanks for all the hard work. Nothing bugging me. Look forward to the stable release.
