  1. I moved from the sata ssd cache to a NVME cache that has fixed the BTRFS errors. Driver issue also gone. Fixing permissions has fixed docker stability. Reboots seem to work with usb in the 2.0 and the UPS in a usb 3.0. found it odd the UPS would cause it not to boot with both in a 3.0. I knew moving to a different platform would give a few issues but i expected more a UEFI, driver or chipset problem. Thank you for the guidance of pointing out it was an SSD that i had initially missed.
  2. So Drive SDB is a SSD in raid 1 for my app data cache. There would be 4 devices on that cable and backplane, LSI 9305 24i so 6 cables one to each backplane. Each backplane is 4 drives. Drive SDX is the mirror to the drive above. (SDB) one other repeating error since i migrated to a new platform: Apr 10 19:43:52 MServer kernel: ACPI Error: AE_ALREADY_EXISTS, CreateBufferField failure (20220331/dswload2-477) Apr 10 19:43:52 MServer kernel: ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.PC00.PEG1.PEGP._DSM due to previous error (AE_ALREADY_EXISTS) (20220331/psparse-529) Apr 10 19:43:52 MServer kernel: ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Failure creating named object [\_SB.PC00.PEG1.PEGP._DSM.USRG], AE_ALREADY_EXISTS (20220331/dsfield-184) Apr 10 19:43:52 MServer kernel: ACPI Error: AE_ALREADY_EXISTS, CreateBufferField failure (20220331/dswload2-477) Apr 10 19:43:52 MServer kernel: ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.PC00.PEG1.PEGP._DSM due to previous error (AE_ALREADY_EXISTS) (20220331/psparse-529) Apr 10 19:43:52 MServer kernel: ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Failure creating named object [\_SB.PC00.PEG1.PEGP._DSM.USRG], AE_ALREADY_EXISTS (20220331/dsfield-184) Apr 10 19:43:52 MServer kernel: ACPI Error: AE_ALREADY_EXISTS, CreateBufferField failure (20220331/dswload2-477) Apr 10 19:43:52 MServer kernel: ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.PC00.PEG1.PEGP._DSM due to previous error (AE_ALREADY_EXISTS) (20220331/psparse-529) Apr 10 19:43:55 MServer kernel: BTRFS error (device sdx1: state EA): parent transid verify failed on logical 2143535104 mirror 2 wanted 1525437 found 1525432 Apr 10 19:43:55 MServer kernel: BTRFS error (device sdx1: state EA): parent transid verify failed on logical 2143535104 mirror 1 wanted 1525437 found 1525432 Apr 10 19:43:55 MServer kernel: BTRFS error (device sdx1: state EA): parent transid verify failed on logical 2143535104 mirror 1 wanted 1525437 found 1525432
  3. Small Update, Updated Motherboard Bios and fixed unraid permissions. I also had the boot USB in a usb 3.0 slot which seemed fine unless the UPS was also plugged in, seems alleviated with having the boot in a 2.0 slot. I will have to wait till tomorrow to check for errors, i will post a diagnostic tomorrow. I have one on boot: Apr 9 22:27:13 MServer kernel: ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Failure creating named object [\_SB.PC00.PEG1.PEGP._DSM.USRG], AE_ALREADY_EXISTS (20220331/dsfield-184) Apr 9 22:27:13 MServer kernel: ACPI Error: AE_ALREADY_EXISTS, CreateBufferField failure (20220331/dswload2-477) Apr 9 22:27:13 MServer kernel: ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.PC00.PEG1.PEGP._DSM due to previous error (AE_ALREADY_EXISTS) (20220331/psparse-529) Error that still repeats in the log: Apr 9 22:32:43 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: device reset: FAILED scmd(0x000000003c043558) Apr 9 22:32:43 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: attempting target reset! scmd(0x000000003c043558) Apr 9 22:32:43 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] tag#1928 CDB: opcode=0x2a 2a 08 00 00 08 80 00 00 08 00 Apr 9 22:32:43 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: handle(0x002b), sas_address(0x300062b205f4f152), phy(18) Apr 9 22:32:43 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: enclosure logical id(0x500062b205f4f140), slot(8) Apr 9 22:32:43 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: enclosure level(0x0000), connector name( ) Apr 9 22:32:43 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: target reset: SUCCESS scmd(0x000000003c043558) Apr 9 22:32:44 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: Power-on or device reset occurred Apr 9 22:32:51 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: attempting task abort!scmd(0x0000000062bae2ce), outstanding for 7045 ms & timeout 7000 ms Apr 9 22:32:51 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] tag#2020 CDB: opcode=0x12 12 00 00 00 fe 00 Apr 9 22:32:51 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: handle(0x002b), sas_address(0x300062b205f4f152), phy(18) Apr 9 22:32:51 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: enclosure logical id(0x500062b205f4f140), slot(8) Apr 9 22:32:51 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: enclosure level(0x0000), connector name( ) Apr 9 22:32:51 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: task abort: SUCCESS scmd(0x0000000062bae2ce) Apr 9 22:32:52 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: Power-on or device reset occurred Apr 9 22:33:27 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: attempting task abort!scmd(0x00000000b9e4230c), outstanding for 30360 ms & timeout 30000 ms Apr 9 22:33:27 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] tag#1876 CDB: opcode=0x42 42 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 18 00 Apr 9 22:33:27 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: handle(0x002b), sas_address(0x300062b205f4f152), phy(18) Apr 9 22:33:27 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: enclosure logical id(0x500062b205f4f140), slot(8) Apr 9 22:33:27 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: enclosure level(0x0000), connector name( ) Apr 9 22:33:27 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: task abort: SUCCESS scmd(0x00000000b9e4230c) Apr 9 22:33:27 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: attempting task abort!scmd(0x00000000cbf14f21), outstanding for 30391 ms & timeout 30000 ms Apr 9 22:33:27 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] tag#1875 CDB: opcode=0x2a 2a 08 00 00 08 80 00 00 08 00 Apr 9 22:33:27 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: handle(0x002b), sas_address(0x300062b205f4f152), phy(18) Apr 9 22:33:27 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: enclosure logical id(0x500062b205f4f140), slot(8) Apr 9 22:33:27 MServer kernel: scsi target1:0:0: enclosure level(0x0000), connector name( ) Apr 9 22:33:27 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: No reference found at driver, assuming scmd(0x00000000cbf14f21) might have completed Apr 9 22:33:27 MServer kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: task abort: SUCCESS scmd(0x00000000cbf14f21)
  4. Im thinking there is something happening that is effecting plex. I can restart the server and plex works. then after being up for a day: Playback Error An error occurred loading items to play Radarr is effected(non responsive, fine after system reboot), sonarr is fine, minecraft server has "read only file errors" so currently updating permissions. But first lets work through the driver issue. mserver-diagnostics-20240409-2011.zip
  5. Just moved from a Supermicro server to an Asus w680. 1: I attached a couple images of what looks like a repeated issue for a driver???? Not sure how to handle that. 2: The other issue is I can’t have my UPS plugged into the server. It won’t boot with it in. I was assuming a bios setting. As soon as I unplug the usb from the ups, it boots. 3: Plex has had stability issues but maybe that’s unrelated. I’d like to fix the first two and maybe Plex will smarten up by then. I am running in EFI.
  6. I think I may have found the issue. if I change from TrueHD 7.1 to AC3 5.1 it works. any way to default this in Plex?
  7. I am having Issues getting my TV plex app(LG CX OLED), Apple Tv(4k) or chrome on PC to display transcoded Video. GPU Quadro P2000 Nvidia-smi shows the transcode, drivers and GPU Plex shows the (HW)transcode in the dashboard, the seconds count up as if its playing Multipule Movies are 4K, direct play or transcode does not seem to work. Some Lower res 1080P movies wonk on chrome some dont. One Movie (Mulan) works just fine transcoded or direct.(4k) my devices just show the loading wheel or error out. Unraid 6.9.2 Nvidia plugin drivers tried: v465.27, v460.73.01 Tried CPU transcode, same issue Dual E5-2667, 64gb Ram. Tried changing transcode folder to from /ect to a share /transcode, and tried leaving blank Properly paths set. 8. I was using a internal header on a super micro board. So I’m sure that would be usb2. Plus I left in the chassis fans so it would get a ton of air flow. Must have been back luck. I think this is year 2 for that USB drive.
  9. I was not able to run chkdsk. It said read only. I pulled a backup of a USB that was 4 months old. It booted right up. Is there a recommended type of USB that will last longer for UNRAID? I was running a sandisk 32g. Or would there be a recommended routine for replacing it? or a sata m.2 to usb with a adapter? Thanks for the response. You nailed what was wrong.
  10. I recently tried upgrade my unraid from a P400 to a P2000. I couldn't find any resources on how to swap other then shut it down properly and swap it out. Then boot it up. I could not get access back to the webgui. I have tried with changing back to the p400, tried with no gpu. Everything was working awesome before i changed the gpu. That is all i touched. I tried the Gui boot, monitor attached and when it tried to pull up the webgui on the machine itself it cannot find it. Nginx is not running according to the command line. Command line on the machine still works, ssh still works. how do i get a diagnostic dump to put in here? Or is it a easy fix? Managed to try to get my diagnostics. i get " mkdir: cannot create directory `/boot/logs` : Read-Only file system Bus Error" i am signed in as root through ssh.
  11. One other thing to note from all this. My Pi-Hole is up and running i can log in and check. but after all this messing around anything using the pihole as a DNS doesn't have internet. Project for another day. Not sure which part broke it. But the docker is up and running.
  12. yes i actually did try that, i also noticed that excludes appdata. thats why i did the chown -R nobody:users /mnt/user/appdata chmod -R 777 /mnt/user/appdata commands permission seemed to work once i restarted. so not sure which step fixed it as i did all those steps before trying to restart. but that did not fix the motioneye docker not starting. it would install. just wouldnt run. also my sonarr wouldn't load, radarr would
  13. got something figured out. Rolled back to UNRAID 6.8.3 motioneye docker works again Sonarr loads up again too 6.9 unraid is not quite ready from what i found too many issues for me. i think i would have rather had a more robust unassigned drives to use them for dockers. I had issues trying to run lancache on a unassigned drive. server would become unresponsive 3-4 times a week. maybe another unraid server is my answer instead of messing up what i got perfected right now.
  14. did a restart, tried the other motioneye docker did it with the original docker i use but wont start 1. So i erased any files in the appdata/motioneye user and cache locations. i seem to have permission after the restart. 2. Re installed the docker Docker tries to start, shows port mapping: 172.17.0.3:8765 / TCP192.168.1.234:8766 but then stops down immediately My other dockers seem to be working (Sonarr, Pihole, Plex, Krusader, calibre) Radarr seems to be sitting at the dots bouncing back and forth screen
  15. mserver-diagnostics-20200702-1338.zip diagnostics attached i have tried some permission commands such as chown -R nobody:users /mnt/user/appdata chmod -R 777 /mnt/user/appdata and newperms /mnt/user/appdata neither solved it, but i did not reboot since. so i will reboot, i have tried two different motioneye dockers but not any other dockers to provide a short follow up. 1: i updated unraid 2: assigned two new pool devices thinking i could have motion eye use the one pool because it doent need to be protected by parity. 3. messed around with network settings trying to assign a ethernet port to motion eye. That messed up my internet connection on unraid. 4. restored usb from backup from just before the unraid update to a different usb drive 5. figured out i have to use the same usb drive 6. restored from backup to original usb drive 7. unraid works again 8. updated unraid 9. assigned the new pool devices again somewhere in there i removed motion eye because it was not starting and have not been able to set it back up since
