  1. I am getting the same package as you from Microcenter today. The plan is to Transcode and I hear the I3 is perfect for that process. Getting the Motherboard for $69 sealed the deal for me. I wanted to add two drives and instead of picking up a SATA Controller I figure this will only cost me $100 after I sell my current motherboard and my old IBM 8 Port Sata II card. I am moving to 4TB drives so a total of 8 should do, I used to have 14 drives with 16.5TB of storage, this will take me to 28TB. I looked at a system using a lower end AMD A4 chip but for the $90 difference I thought the i3 was worth it to be able to transcode to a couple of TV's. I have been trying to find out if there are any issues with the NIC chip on this Board it is a Broadcom BCM57781Gige. I will let you know how my upgrade goes over the weekend.
  2. I did a memtest and it showed 833 errors almost immediately. I decided to pull out the two 2GB sticks and only keep the remaining 1GB sticks and ran the test again, this time no errors. So the server is now running on only 2GB but it is running fine for the moment. Thanks for the help.
  3. I have no idea what this all means or if it is a problem at all. I am using 5RC11. I also got this in an email. /bin/sh: line 1: 27271 Segmentation fault /usr/local/sbin/overtemp_shutdown.sh > /dev/null 2>&1 This is the log that comes up when I look at syslog. 4. I just got the Fractal Design Define XL case. It was $129 at Microcenter and has 10 3.5 inch drive bays with trays (not hot swap) and 4 5.25 drive bays externally. I loaded it up with 15 drives by buying a cooler master 4 in 3 bay for drives and then using the remaining 5.25 for another 3.5 hard drive. The case is loaded but it is easy to put together and it really is built sturdy. The entire Unraid system is not in one case with over 20TB and it is super quiet. I recommend this case to anyone looking to build a system with 15 or fewer drives.
