  1. The important word being SATA M.2 SSD. If you use a NVME M.2 SSD it should be fine.
  2. 1. Why a SAS controller and not a regular SATA expansion card ? From what I read you don't have SAS drives and don't plan to have that many drives (6+2). A 2 or 4 ports SATA controller would do and tend to generate less heat. If you absolutely need a HBA, simply plan to have direct airflow on the heatsink and you should be OK. 2. Having disks on the same or a different controller is generally irrelevant. There are 2 exceptions though : most HBA could cause some problems with SSDs, TRIM in particular there should not be any bandwidth issues unless you use a super fast SATA SSD on a old controller or your controller uses a port multipler 3. as for your drive organisation, it will depend on what you want to do, your tolerance to failures and backup strategies. Remember that SSDs in the Array possible but not advised unless for very specific use-cases and that depending on MBs, SATA M.2 often deactivate some SATA ports when in use (does not seem to be the case on that MB). A basic startup config with the HW you list above would be 1 Parity and 3 HDDs on the Array and 2 NVME M.2 SSDs in a Mirrored Pool (BTRFS or ZFS now).
  3. You will have more chances to have an answer on the script support thread than here.
  4. You will have to reinstall. I can't say for NUT, but for IPMI the new plugin used the previous config automagically. 👍
  5. The update went without issues. 👍
  6. I am using the XL R2 and I did not bother. I simply used the R5 icon available in Unraid, it's the same design with a blank front and a notch at the top.
  7. Hi, you should start there :
  8. I am not even sure that it would boot.

Please attach your diagnostics to your next post.
  10. please attach your diagnostics, there could be some information in them.
  11. You should contact support.
  12. @ctrl-z it will be confusing to do support in an announcement thread. You should start an new thread in General support with some details and someone should be able to help you. https://forums.unraid.net/forum/55-general-support/
  13. Merci d'avoir pris le temps de donner ta solution, ça pourra servir à un autre utilisateur dans le futur. 👍
  14. Did you perhaps change power supply or used a power supply lead from a different modular unit ? (modular cables are NOT part of ATX spec and are not standard between brands and on rare occasion even between generation of the same brand)
  15. Then you should adjust the warning and critical disk temperature threshold for this drive. The default values are safe temperatures for HDDs, SDDs can sustain higher temperatures. I know I did.
  16. Not sure about any initial post, this one was set for approval. Maybe an issue on a previous post that was not registered ? You should be good now.
  17. For future reference, simply drag and drop the zip file in the text box or use the link at the bottom of the text box.
  18. Merci pour le retour d'information. 🙂
  19. You should let the app install finish on it's window. I use several tabs on a regular basis without any issues (for different parts of the UI).
  20. It can work if you mount one or both unassigned devices after the Array is started as the check is made when the Array/Pool are mounted.
  23. The quick and dirty test would be to point a case fan in the direction of the HBA's heatsink and see if you still have the issue. If not, you can work on a more permanent solution. Some use a 40mm fan attached to the heatsink, others simply make sure there is airflow on it (I use a bottom intake on the case to push air in this general direction). If it does not fix your issue, it could be something else.
